Subedei 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Just a quick question - is the listed Brian Andersen the engine-tuning Brian Andersen, or a new Brian Andersen? I'm sure it's a stupid question, but I'll ask it anyway. I'm not too proud to ask stupid questions every now and again.

DoncasterDragons 0 Posted October 3, 2006 Finally the rest of the Poole fans realise what I've been telling you for weeks!! Lindback has been p*ssing the Pirates about all year with his 'injuries' and tiredness problems, and if there was any sort of comparable replacement WILLING to come across this year he would have been sacked a long time back! Its a shame because he is a good rider, but treating the fans and his sponsors in England as he has done is disgraceful. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I think it's the final straw if he rides tonight in Sweden. I never thought I would say this, but Ian Thomas summed him up saying he was a disgrace in the Speedway Star a couple of weeks ago. I think the FIM should step in and ban the guy from speedway for a couple of years. He has duped the British public throughout 2006 with his "tiredness", "illness" and now "leg injury". Lindback should be used as an example to stop others picking and choosing in years to come. By stopping him riding full stop, he might understand how his serious his actions have been this year. If he is contractually committed to these clubs, he should fulfil the fixtures. If not, why sign it at the start of the season. To carry on letting Poole down and embarrassing their supporters has just been unbelievable - and I don't even support Pirates. Rickardsson, Jonsson and now Lindback. Picking and choosing when they want to ride in Britain. How many more next year. It's got to stop and NOW.
rabbit 1 Posted October 3, 2006 Paid max from 3 rides so far. On a slightly different topic...is Kent Rickardsson who's just beaten the Axeman in a match race Tony R's father? I seem to remember hearing he was an ex-rider or have I got him muddled up with someone else?

rabbit 1 Posted October 3, 2006 (edited) Aha...thanks. Had a feeling there was a family connection in there somewhere. Suppose he would have had to have been very good to beat Brian A if it was his Dad. Edited October 3, 2006 by rabbit

Wackie 938 Posted October 3, 2006 I see BA came in for Antonio in ht 12.Is he starting to get an excuse ready? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's probably just spotted someone from Poole in the crowd and developed a limp again.
Subedei 0 Posted October 3, 2006 I see BA came in for Antonio in ht 12.Is he starting to get an excuse ready? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's got to give young Shovlar something to cling on to. If I miss this heat Steve can say that I rode through the pain barrier for Tony's farewell and that no one should criticise me missing the odd Poole meeting. DoncasterDragons 0 Posted October 3, 2006 One ride was too much as far as I'm concerned. He stated he was going to rest the "injured" leg for the rest of the season and yet five days after his club Poole went out of the Knock Out Cup semi-final without him, he's back in his kevlars again in a knockabout meeting. To quote Andy Millman from BBC's Extras: "He's having a laugh. Is he having a laugh!" Yes, at British speedway's expense, no less.

Suppose he would have had to have been very good to beat Brian A if it was his Dad. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> In fairness, when Brian and Jan had a match race at Coventry last year, I think most CL riders would have had the beating of the pair of them had they outgated them!
