Conkers 67 Posted February 16, 2008 (edited) An interesting first day, with the Russians scoring well but the three dropped points mean their perfect score last year won't be repeated. The Austrians are scoring well, with Franky laying his Russian jinx of a few years back well behind him. 'A' Final spots in Saransk for him? Good result for the Finns but the German score is poor for them and means they have loads of work to do tomorrow. Looking forward to tomorrow's result. Is there any TV coverage of the meeting on line? EDIT: Some great pics from Saturday on the Russian Forum Edited February 17, 2008 by Conkers

Conkers 67 Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) Aakko beating Zorn - bet that was some race (mind you all their races have been good!) Heat 38 should be interesting, Russia v Austria - Russia beat the Austrians 5-1 yesterday. Reversal today? Edited February 17, 2008 by Conkers
iris123 20,994 Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) And the comment on isracing.net that Flyktmann was leading heat 6 yesterday when his tyre went and he crashed out.Well the extra two points for Finland would have made it very tight. But they are looking strong today Edited February 17, 2008 by iris123

iris123 20,994 Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) Germany 29 (14+15) Dmitri Tschatschin 11 (4+7), Andreas Roth 2 (0+2), Gunther Bauer 15 (10+5) Unfortunately i lost my internet conection at the end and had to go out to the Ice Hockey(Hamburg 7-Berlin 1 !!!! ).But Roth won his heat and has 3 points.Haven't checked the others though Edited February 17, 2008 by iris123
Conkers 67 Posted February 17, 2008 (edited) Had a look on Speedway.org as bablefish is playing up. Ht 29 appears to have been Bauer in for Roth, and Roth only scores a single when Tschatschin failed to score in Heat 34. I'll correct my scores. That would make more sense(although don't know why Tschatschin wasn't in against the Austrians.Or to put it another way don't know why Roth was in ).Though the Russian forum and the polish site have Roth winning and having 3 points. But looking at the race times document on the Russian forum it is as speedway.org has it Edited February 17, 2008 by iris123
