PhilK 150 Posted April 16, 2009 Please accept my apologies. The start time is not 6pm but 3pm. The error was my fault. Thanks for that SS , 3pm is much better for travelling fans and riders I'd imagine, well it certainly is for me On another tack I see the Newport meeting is May 23rd Which is the Newport/BSPA site is correct means speedway three days running at Newport as they are due to ride Workington on 24th in the PL and the Isle Of Wight on 25th in the NL! I'm surprised that the U15 round doesnt form part of a double header with one of the other metings purely on a cost basis
Lloyd Barrett23 0 Posted April 16, 2009 Disappointing that so few (why is this..? ) but then why not have more rounds...? Perhaps EVERY National League track to stage a round- as you say, can easily be part of a double header... And not just NL tracks, as many as can do so should stage a round.. Of course a danger that not all the youngsters could make every round so to decide the champion could be based on best eight or ten rounds (depending obviously on how many rounds actually raced...)... waiting to have my head bitten off BTW... Absolutley gutted to have to miss these rounds. Still recovering from the broken collar bone I got when I had such a simple crash at Scunthorpe on Feb 1st.I have been told it will be the end of July before I can start racing again - yes, it was a bad break! After riding at Cardiff last year , I am really upset that I have to miss most of this season. Hoping to get back on a bike as soon as I get clearance from the specialist at the hospital. Hi Lloyd, So sorry to hear that your recovery isn't going well. You were riding so well prior to the crash and it was good to see you enjoying yourself. Keep your chin up though because you are still very young and have a lot of years riding ahead of you. Just look how long your dad has kept going Cheers, Richard

whowasthatberntpersson 108 Posted May 21, 2009 How do the Under 15's get into the Championship series? Are they selected? Do they nominate? or is it open to anyone? Is this the best Under 15 riders or the best without a league spot? Is it possible for someone to ride in selected meetings or do they have to do the whole series? It is open to all those who qualify by the age, rulings, engine size (250 or 500) etc. E-mail me Lee and I will answer your questions that way. Were you considering entering Nick when you are here ? Main Man 222 Posted June 10, 2009 Does anyone know what has happened to Marc Owen? haven't seen his name mentioned any where lately. He broke his scaphoid at Newport a short while back. He is due to have the plaster off this Friday and will be back in action asap. He was not contesting the Under 15 championships this year and is looking forward to August when he reaches the grand old age of 15 and is eligible to ride in the National League. He has been riding Academy matches and in second halves at various tracks.
