Agree, Pedersen should NOT have been excluded then.

He didn't even run the Russian that wide, he left him plenty of room down the back straight. Sure, there was contact, but once again its a case of a rider being passed making sure there is contact. Its becoming more regular in speedway, its the equivalent of a dive in football.

yeah Emil should have been ex'd. Where were Nicki supposed to go straigh into the fence or release the throttle and let Emil go around?.

This time i really understand Nickis frustration and i think i agree with him that the ref's exclude him because his Nicki.

and Emil wins his 2nd GP!!!!!!!!!!

Dreadfull decision by the referee, easily conned by Emil the cheat.

Polish ref no doubt?

They should not be allowed positions of such power, time for Polish officials to be banned from competitive meetings.

Crikey, excellent pass from Emil!

Only really watched the semis and final. Track looks disgraceful. Still, nice to see Lindback doing well and I was sad to see Jonsson out. And as for Nikki... shouldn't have been out but he's hardly the most innocent rider around!

Heat 04: Holta, Lindgren, Walasek, Andersen.

Line Up: Lindgren Andersen Walasek Holta

Comments: Holta gates in front and goes. That was that really. Nothing happened after. Poole's new goldenboy looked hopeless at the back.

Heat 05: Holta, Lindback, Ulamek, Harris.

Line Up: Holta Harris Ulamek Lindback

Comments: Lindback dived under Ulamek on bend 3 lap 1 to pass him. Both Ulamek and Harris a long way behind Holta and Lindback.

Heat 06 - Re-Run: Jonsson, Andersen, Adams, Hancock (FX).

Line Up: Andersen Jonsson Hancock Adams

Comments: Stopped. Hancock hit a rut on bend 3 lap 1, straightened up and did really well to avoid running into Adams. Both Andersen and Jonsson did well to avoid hitting Hancock. Hancock disqualified and to be re-run with 3 riders. Adams and Andersen gated together in the re-run. Andersen took him out wide which let Jonsson through into second. Jonsson then rode a superb bends 3&4 on lap 2 to pass Andersen going down the home straight entering lap 3.

Heat 08: Pedersen, Sayfutdinov, Walasek, Bjerre.

Line Up: Sayfutdinov Bjerre Pedersen Walasek

Heat 09: Gollob, Walasek, Adams, Harris.

Line Up: Adams Walasek Harris Gollob

Comments: Harris gates in front then hits a big rut in the middle of the first bend. This straightened him up and sent him to the back. Adams, for some bizarre reason, went mega wide on bend 2 lap 3 and Walasek blew him a kiss as he thanked him for letting him past so easily.

Heat 11: Lindback, Bjerre, Crump, Andersen.

Line Up: Bjerre Lindback Crump Andersen

Comments: Super ride from Lindback to go from last to first on bend 4 lap 1 only for Bjerre to repass him as they enter lap 2. Lindback then repassed Bjerre on bend 4 lap 2. Crump also passed Bjerre too but Bjerre repassed him on bend 1 lap 3.

Heat 13: Andersen, Harris, Pedersen, Nicholls

Line Up: Nicholls Pedersen Andersen Harris

Comments: Andersen and Pedersen clashed coming out of the start. Bomber quietly went round Pedersen on bend 2 and did well to hold onto second after going very, very wide on bend 4 lap 1. Harris almost passed Andersen on a couple of occasions. Nicholls, again, not really in it at the back.

Heat 16: Sayfutdinov, Lindback, Lindgren, Adams.

Comments: The young Russian gates and is gone. Adams was tailed off a fair bit at the back.

Heat 17: Lindgren, Jonsson, Bjerre, Harris.

Line Up: Harris Bjerre Lindgren Jonsson

Comments: Harris almost knocked Jonsson into Denmark on the first bend. Jonsson went under him on bend 4 lap 1 to make the pass. Bjerre holding onto the lead until hitting a rut on bend 2 lap 3 which let both Lindgren and Jonsson through.

Heat 18: Lindback, Walasek, Nicholls, Hancock (EF).

Line Up: Lindback Hancock Nicholls Walasek

Comments: Hancock had EF on lap 2 whilst leading. Nicholls yet again not in contention.

Heat 19: Pedersen, Crump, Holta, Adams.

Line Up: Crump Pedersen Holta Adams

Comments: Crump gated but Pedersen hit a rut coming out of bend 2 lap 1 which fired him past Crump. Holta and Crump then passed and repassed each other before Crump pulled away a little to hold onto second. Adams again tailed off at the back.

Heat 20 - Re-Run: Sayfutdinov, Gollob, Ulamek, Andersen (X).

Line Up: Ulamek Andersen Gollob Sayfutdinov

Comments: Stopped. Andersen hit a rut trying to dive under Ulamek on bend 2 lap 2 and took him out. Andersen disqualified and race to be rerun with 3 riders. Nice to see Andersen showing concern for Ulamek rather than his bike. Superb first turn in the re-run from Sayfutdinov to keep it wound on and pass both Poles coming out of bend 2. Gollob wins the battle of the Poles by passing Ulamek down the back straight on lap 1.

Semi Final 1 - Re-Run: Lindback, Crump, Jonsson, Lindgren (FX).

Line Up: Lindback Jonsson Crump Lindgren

Comments: Drama at the start as Lindback's bike packs up and his team just about get another on track for him. Ref then doesn't let the tapes up. Stopped. Lindgren came off on the backstraight of lap 3 after hitting a rut. Crump had gone from second to last after twice hitting the same rut. In the re-run Crump gingerly (no pun intended ) freewheels round the first turn to stay behind Lindback, Jonsson has a real go on the last lap and almost snatched second on the line.

Semi Final 2: Sayfutdinov, Pedersen, Holta, Bjerre.

Line Up: Pedersen Bjerre Sayfutdinov Holta

Comments: Pedersen gates but wobbles like a novice round the first turn which lets Sayfutdinov and Holta through. Sayfutdinov almost clatters the fence on bend 4 lap 1 but holds on stay in front. Pedersen passed Holta bend 3 lap 1. Bjerre was that far back he was still on his last ride.

Grand Final - Re-Run: Sayfutdinov, Crump, Lindback, Pedersen (X).

Line Up: Lindback Pedersen Sayfutdinov Crump

Comments: Stopped. Pedersen clipped Sayfutdinov entering bend 1 lap 3. Sayfutdinov came down, Crump did super well lay his bike down but couldn't avoid ploughing into his bike. Pedersen disqualified. Super race prior to that with Pedersen, Sayfutdinov and Lindback passing and repassing each other. In the re-run Crump was in front until Sayfutdinov came under him entering lap 4. Sayfutdinov the winner, Crump second with Lindback third.

Comments:

Line Up Confirmed. Looks nice and sunny at the Ullevi Stadium. A fair few empty seats though A very good looking blonde haired lady is currently singing what must be the Swedish national anthem. It's not as catchy as DJ Talent but you can't have everything Can't really judge the track but it's a GP, it's Ullevi so it's bound to be slick, rutty and have more holes than the Belfry!!!

pedersen is stupid, he didn't need to risk the contact but wanted to prove a point to the young pretender and pays the penalty.
