essaitch 24 Posted July 12, 2010 Let's hope they announce all the line ups, the fans need to be knowing with all the rumours circulating! I'm pretty certain all the sides will have full line up's! Can't see anyone boycotting the event because of the silencers when push comes to shove!
Lake Bodom Comet 2 Posted July 12, 2010 Finland seemed to have no trouble witht he silencers when they won the qualifying round, hopefully that will give them an advantage at Kings Lynn! Any news yet on a confirmed line up for the leijonat??
Bagpuss 10,781 Posted July 12, 2010 Nicholls, Bomber, Rico, Stead and Woffinden. No surprises really.
Nazza 3 Posted July 12, 2010 Nicholls, Bomber, Rico, Stead and Woffinden. No surprises really. Can't say i'm surprised by the team Really happy Stead is in it
Vincent Vega 135 Posted July 12, 2010 Spot on from Rob Lyon as Kennett, Bridger, Barker are not riding well enough to be included. If we qualify though I reckon he may drop Stead for Kennett.
colincooke 0 Posted July 12, 2010 No arguments with those 5 from me.
tigerblues 10 Posted July 12, 2010 My dad said before it was announced this is what he wanted to see and I agreed, the "top 4" was never really going to include anyone else and of the rest, Stead is probably the best call and I'm not 100% sure off the top of my head how he goes at the NA but it should suit him I'd have thought. Absolutely no arguments from me.
lucifer sam 3,953 Posted July 12, 2010 (edited) Nicholls, Bomber, Rico, Stead and Woffinden. No surprises really. Well King's Lynn track specialist Ben Barker should really be in there, shouldn't he? Especially after his third place in the British Final. Cannot understand the selection of Stead, who's been in before and failed. All the best Rob Edited July 12, 2010 by lucifer sam

All the best Rob All about opinions of course but I wouldn't consider Barker to be an NA specialist and Stead is averaging nearly two points more per meeting according to the BSPA site. Bagpuss, Stead's league form is much better, but it's a big meeting and we need riders with a "big meeting" mentality. Barker showed that at Wolves in the British Final and Stead didn't. It is strange that the British No. 3 is not being selected for a 5-man British team, especially around a track where he excels. But as you say, it's all down to opinion. Bagpuss 10,781 Posted July 12, 2010 I think it would be harsh to rule Stead out for one bad meeting. Barker certainly has something about him and I think he will be a big rider for GB in the future but I just feel that the five pretty much pick themselves this year. Kennett, Bridger, King and Barker haven't done enough over the season to oust any of those five for me.
em1500uk 190 Posted July 12, 2010 Simon Stead looks a completely different bloke from the one I saw back at Coventry for the 2008 SWC. He looks a better rider this year IMO, though saying that, I've only seen him race this season once, maybe twice. Can't really disagree with the 5 riders that have been chosen anyway. Anyone know the other line ups...particularly the line up for Sweden?
