Sadly there was much engine failure amongst the riders, so many heats went on with three or two riders. I don't know about Inge Bjerk, but Mikke has retired according to an interview he did last year. Inge Bjerk is reserve at the second round of Long Track Grand Prix held in Norway, so he is still active, at least in Longtrack. I don't know why Raugstad isn't riding. As for Drammen, I saw them entering the track briefly only to roll the bikes off again, or not showing at all. Kjetil Ristesund was involved in a crash in the first heat, an his bike was probably rendered useless for the rest of the meeting. I'm not near the pits, so I can't really tell you the why's and why not's. Let's hope they'll get it together for tomorrows meeting at Elgane. The line-ups should be the same, exept for Riska, who are putting in Tommy Thu instead of Stein Roar Pedersen. Scoresheet can be found here Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
mothorsen 39 Posted June 5, 2011 Back from sunny Elgane, and there was much more action today, but disaster struck one of the best riders today aswell, as Rune Sola crashed even before the rides had lined up, and busted his bike There was much more passing and fighting today, and without Sola, Lars Daniel Gunnestad was undefeated. There must have been about 20 people, or less, exept the riders families, at Riska, and say about a hundred or so at Elgane. The meetings are hardly advertised, so you'll have to be interested in local speedway and check the web pages to know when they are held. The weather was marvelous both days, so that was no excuse to sit at home. It's sad, but I hope the up-and-coming riders provides new blood also fan-wise.
