WieJa you may be right if he can convince BSI that he will be properly organised and be fully available to appear in all rounds both of the Lagutas did a lot of damage by missing Cardiff and Kings Lynn then their nephew Tarasenko missing Poole U21 meeting

I have also heard that a major Russian sports channel is interested in taking all GPs and Wtc in 2012 which could help his cause

My personal views is it will be Bomber,N Pederson,Lindgren and Ward

its hard to know if a rider would be able to finish on the podium if he never would get a chance to prove it.

 

One thing is proven though is that both Harris and Freddie also seems to lack the ability to finish on the Podium,

Lindgren have 5 podiums from 4 seasons, 1-2008,2-2009,0-2010 and 2 this year.

Harris got 6 podiums from 5 seasons of which 1 is from this year.

 

at least Nicki P is among the top scorers in the leagues but neither Lindgren or Harris are.

 

non qual, riders that are ahead of Harris and Freddie in Sweden scoring wise are:

Nicki Pedersen, Grigory Laguta, Jurica Pavlic (only 4 meetings for him), Grzegorz Walasek, Daniel Nermark, Darcy Ward, Ryan Sullivan,

Why do you think that is the most important criteria?Personally i would like a rider who adds something to the series over the course of the GP season,not just once in a very blue moon like Lindgren and Harris.And to add to that we also have Pepe and Bjarne next year.Another couple of bluemooners if ever there were I do think Laguta is capable of bringing a bit more and even possibly a few podium finishes.But that isn't for me so important as adding some excitement most meetings

1 podium even a WC rider can do that.

 

Zorro have two semi-finals from two attempts, THJ also got two semifinals from two attempts.

Harris only managed 2 semi finals besides the podium. Despite riding in every GP.

 

IMO If a a rider like THJ makes two sem-finals from two attempts as well as entering the qualification process he would be a just a good pick as Freddie and Harris.

Also as i have said before if no other riders gets the chance to prove themselves in the GPs how could you know that they would not perform better then the regular charity cases?

 

Harris got 1 podium finish this year but also 9 none podiums, Freddie got two podiums but also 8 non podiums, Nicki got 1 Victory this year which puts him ahead of FL and CH.

How many Victories have Freddie got from his SGP career? Zero, How many victories have Harris achieved?

but this year he has only got 10% podium finishes.

 

if you include all of last years Gp's and this years he has 5 podiums from 21 Gp's (23%) i think.

 

but lets look at 2009 as well he had 0 podium finishes from 11 Gp's so thats 5 podiums from 32 GP's (15%)

Bomber has had ample opportunity to show what he can do and failed a lot more than he succeeded.

Time to give someone else a try.

Plenty to choose from who are capapble but no real Brit contender.

Wuffy maybe next year if he continues his good work.

The other Brits not a hope.

Nicholls and Harris are our top two at present and both stink out the series more than they contribute to it.

Time to accept that the SGP is beyond the Brits and make them qualify and actually get in by acheiving something rather than just a pity-pick based on the assumption that Brit viewers will only watch if there is a Brit.

it's not bad but it's not great either. the percentage could probably be less if you go back further. his form from the end of last year is where the majority of podiums come from, but he was only in the series last year after another wild card oppurtunity

Shouldn't the reigning British Speedway Champion be considered as the 'British' wildcard if one is to be considered at all?
