manchesterpaul 447 Posted June 5, 2012 Accordibg to Svt-sportnytt Freddie Lindgren have decided to ride Tonight. http://svt.se/2.9302...k_redan_i_kvall Thanks for the heads up on that Ghostwalker. I came here first ahead of scouring the Swedish media again. He has indeed also now stated on his Twitter account he is to ride after all. No biggie just re-inserted him back into the racecard. Hope the weather is good in Sweden, we all greatly look forward to our weekly fix of Elitserien.

brandonbee48 1,194 Posted June 15, 2012 (edited) Today, in a far off land, our two great nations face each other across the battlefield. Before the bombs begin to fall and the wounded are carried from the field of battle let us pause and remember what our two countries share. Sweden gave us Ove Fundin. England gave us Peter Craven. Sweden gave us the Volvo. England gave us the Mini. Sweden gave us Bjorn Borg. England gave us Fred Perry. Sweden gave us Ingemar Johannson England gave us Lennox Lewis Sweden gave us ABBA England gave us The Beatles Sweden gave us "Ghostwalker" England gave us "Racers and Royals" We all should remember the stirring words of the philosophers of our two countries. Sweden. Benny Andersson, Björn Ulvaeus . England. Sir Gerald Marsden of Merseyside. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=8smO4VS9134 Good luck! Lycka till! All the best. Alan. manchesterpaul 447 Posted June 19, 2012 (edited) A Tuesday without our beloved Swedish Speedway is like fish without chips, bangers without mash etc. I just printed off a blank racecard but somehow it's not the same. markw40 20 Posted June 19, 2012 Why no speedway tonight? Is it due to the football ?
Ghostwalker 1,859 Posted June 19, 2012 Why no speedway tonight? Is it due to the football ? Several reasons i think. Champions league was originally intended to be held on this day. Sweden vs. France in the Euro 2012 I also believe that without the backup days (another one during the London Olympics) the Season would be a few weeks shorter and it would end to(?) early.
