Mildenhall V Rye Sun 27th May

Recommended Posts

With Heeps apparently not in the Aussie under 21 team at Lakeside and the probable return of Blackbird, the Fen Tigers look to strong for the raiders who will need good performances from Ben Morley who usually goes well here ,,new boy James Sarjeant who should like it here . With David Mason a Shane Hazelden pickin up good points also to keep the score respectable ,,as the bottom end could struggle through lack of expierience.... Weather looks good ,and im a bit sick about having to miss this one...Hope all the lads enjoy the meeting...

mildenhall will thrash rye house probably getting 60+ points

Hate to say it,,,,your probably right....although Raiders have one or two entertaining riders who will give it a real go ,,unfortunatly the tail is way to long to make the team competetive enough to have any real chance of match points.......

Thats good to see. I think it adds meaning to the meetings if it is the Juniors of the Seniors if you know what I mean.

BIZARRE ! Half of Mildenhall team appear to have lost the ability to ride their own track without falling off ! Doubled with ref making up rules as he goes along ! ( Heat 2 ) Its going to be a tough one for the Tigers . 7 heats gone and more engine gremlins ! At least the sun is out .

for a struggling bottom 3 both reserves scored there averages and luke chessell out scored two of the so called top four ? fans shouldnt slate the riders with out them having the chance to prove theselves this year when confiedence is everything in speedway

Neither of the Raiders reserves would have scored their averages had it not been for an engine seizure and an eccentric refereeing decision in heat 2 !

Points are points you can't take that away from them if you don't finish the four laps you don't win no matter how fast you are

Think the track conditions had a bigger part to play than anything else. Both sets of riders were having a tough time out there.

Thankfully all riders got up from their crashes and hopefully aren't too badly injured. Hazelden's crash looked particulary nasty. Really pleasing to see him get up from that one.

Not sure what you mean about the refereeing in heat two? Both decisions seemed the only ones he could have made to be fair.

Although the track was dififcult to start with, as often is the case it is the home side that finds the change in usual conditions a bigger problem than the visitors. Once it settled there was some good racing and Rye HOuse fully played their part.

Jacobs pass on Sargeant in heat six was brilliant and Heeps was in unstoppable form. Nathan Stoneman also rode very well having to take seven rides in the heat following Josh Bates injury scoring a fully deserved paid 11. Hopefully Lewis is ok after a nasty fall on his comeback and Josh makes a quick recovery. Also Hazelden who looked to have a particularly nasty fall in heat 11.
