Dragons At Kings Lynn - Sunday June 10th

Dragons Amateur Speedway Club hope to finally get to take to the Norfolk Arena on June 10th, 1pm start.

 

The Club has seen both attempts at running events at the Elite League circuit fall foul of the weather so hopefully it's gonna be third time lucky next month.

 

The event is open to all abilities, wether you wish to compete or just practice and to members and non-members alike.

Due to some expected weather problems that are forecast to hit the King's Lynn area later on in the afternoon on Sunday, this eagerly awaited Dragons meeting has been brought forward by one hour, now starting at 12.00pm (midday).

Whilst I appreciate it's only just turned 5.45am on a Sunday Morning, and a lot can happen in 6-hours, it's an absolutely beautiful morning here in the King's Lynn area, with unbroken blue skies and warm sunshine. So lets hope it stays that way for you, and that you all have a good and safe meeting.

Huh, so much for a bad weather forecast, as the meeting went ahead on what was almost certainly the warmest day of the year at the Norfolk Arena, complete with unbroken sunshine.

 

Although conditions became a tad dusty in the later stages, the quality of racing was good, and at times very good, and kept the fairly large sprinkling of King's Lynn supporters in attendance, more than happy.

 

The meeting had to be aborted before the various finals could be stage, as the medical team time had expired, so results were declared on the four rides each format.

Next Meeting is at Sittingbourne on the 8th Jult, and this will be the 1st leg of the 2012 MTD Credit Crunch Team Event.

 

This is usually one of the best attended meetings, one that amateur racing fans seem to love, and is well worth the journey to the pretty little Kent venue.
