Sir Jasper 192 Posted June 12, 2012 F|rom the Bees website In recent years he has had loan spells with Ipswich and Peterborough as well as last season at Belle Vue, and he was also a popular guest rider for the Bees on several occasions in 2011. Coventry co-promoters Mick Horton and Colin Pratt met their Aces counterparts David Gordon and Chris Morton last week with an amicable deal being concluded. Horton said: “Both ourselves and Belle Vue are satisfied with the undisclosed fee we’ve agreed, and we feel it’s in all of our best interests and those of the rider. http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.1762 Also from the Bees website On behalf of Coventry Racing Club Ltd. Avtar Sandhu is pleased to confirm that the agreement with Mick Horton for him to lease the club until the end of season 2012 with an option to purchase the club outright at the end of that season has been finalized. Under the deal he has twelve months to secure the purchase of the team whilst at the same time gaining the fans' support and trust by his actions rather than promises. Please join with us in supporting Mick in his desire to bring some glory back to Brandon. http://www.coventrybees.co/news.php?extend.1687 However I am not sure what Starman is wittering on about, still best to let him wander around in his own special little world. Baille 3 Posted June 12, 2012 From what I was informed at the start of the season Mick owns the team but Sandhu owns the riders. Mick can loan riders out and collect relevant fees but cannot sell riders off.
Bomo1 141 Posted June 13, 2012 So Pawlicki still in discussions with MF - permission granted by Mick Horton - but subject to fixture commitments!! Rune Holta is the latest rider to turn Poole down!! (Phew ). www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/speedway
John Leslie 3,213 Posted June 13, 2012 Matt Ford getting loads of publicity out of naming several riders who have supposedly turned Poole down before finally admitting that he had a done deal with Lindback all along?
Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted June 13, 2012 An almost impossible task to get a good rider in. If a deal is done with Pawlicki we will have to accept he will be awol half the time which will cost us many league points. There's no easy solution and if he is brought in we have to accept the dropped points in the knowledge he will be available for the playoffs.
