Coventry Storm V Stoke Potters .. Friday May 31st 8pm

Recommended Posts

Another very enjoyable meeting last night with the Storm lads performing very well indeed. I thought it would be a lot closer with the experience of riders such as Smart, Chessel, Reade and Priest.

Pretty decent crowd again too.

Disappointed the potters couldn't make it closer. Well done to Ben Reade and Kyle Hughes. Lee Smart is looking off the pace. Hat off to James Sargent and Joe Jacobs too, looking full value for the Storm.

My first venture to national league racing at coventry and will not be my last.

Great entertainment and good racing too.

Took my 7 year old daughter to her first speedway meet and she said "dad can we come again"

Well impressed with the attitude of joe Jacobs in shutting off on lap 4 bend 4 to allow

James sergeant his full maximum. (Good on you joe !)

Credit to mick Horton and what was/is a gamble, but hey more like Friday's meeting

And people spreading the word will hopefully repay your effort.

Mention to about Martin Knuckey, 100 percent trier and was rewarded for it.

Pity about 2 minute exclusion for his 4th ride

Looks like Malc has worked his wonders on the Potters team again.

First year in change of the PL POTTERS was our last in the PL.

Three years in the NL and getting worse each year, whats next , the place shuts shop, great CV.

So you are writing the team off after one weak away performance ?

I dunno what you've got against Mal, but I have nothing but respect for the man.

Ignore Big Lad,i'm 99.9% sure he goes by POTTER on the stoke forum, and hasn't had a good word to say about Stoke in about 5 years.

Stokes problem at the moment is pretty obvious, we have a 9.5 number 1 who is averaging around 5 or 6. Smarty needs to return to some form, or we will lack the top end strength that we expected with his signing.

Talking of big lads, and I know this is rich coming from me, but I think Smarties form would improve if he shed a few pounds, he's carrying quite a lot of timber atm.

I'm not sure why I am rising to this, as I know that your answer to anything I say will be "But it was NL so wasn't worth caring about"

However

Watching the progress of Taylor Poole (Such a shame he doesn't have a team place this season)

Winning the Pairs at Newport

Seeing Stoke top the NL table. First league table I have ever seen us top.

KoC final.

Play offs for a couple of years.

Ashley Birks form last season.

Progression of Ben Reade

Yes, there have been negatives around Stoke, but you will dismiss any positive because it is the NL, and in your eyes it isn't a league worth caring about.

Sorry for going off topic.
