Meetings don’t get any easier for the resurgent Hitmen as this Sunday the league leaders are the visitors to Hi-Edge Raceway (3.00).

Encouraged by their 40 point score against fancied Coventry Storm the home side will have to be on their metal to fend off the Heathens who ran up a 71 point tally when the teams met at Monmore Green earlier in the season.

‘No doubt Cradley are the league’s class act’ commented Buxton’s Skipper Liam Carr ‘but we are a better unit that we were when we visited them in May and we won’t be looking just to roll over! The guys are hitting a bit of form right now and we look forward to racing anyone at home’

Cradley line-up without Steve Worrall who is riding for his premier league side Edinburgh at Glasgow and will use the Rider Replacement facility for Worrall. New averages see Tom Perry back in the main body of the team and Elite league fast track rider Nathan Greaves dropping to reserve.

Promoter Jayne Moss is looking forward to the test ‘We will have to be at our best but the week on week improvement in the team give cause for optimism.’ She urged fans to be there early on Sunday ‘ it’s sure to be a good crowd and with the weather set fair make sure you leave enough time to be in place for the 3.00pm start’

For those who haven’t been to Buxton before it is a ‘drive-in’ speedway and you can watch all the action from your car but space is limited and good viewing will be at a premium.

Buxton: Liam Carr, Sam Ward, Ryan Blacklock, Tom Woolley, Tony Atkin, Stefan Farnaby, Adam Extance

Cradley: Paul Starke, Matt Williamson, Max Clegg, Steve Worrall (R/R), Tom Perry, Nathan Greaves, Danny Phillips
