Speedy swindon pete 509 Posted July 10, 2014 (edited) Terrible performance from Poole on the whole. With the amount of points we threw away, the pirates should have been taking 3 points from this at least. Glad we got the win but it should have been fairly comfortable, even if we'd not dropped half of those wasted positions. Gusto electric once again, sad to see Nath have a shocker, glad the boys managed to pull back the win, otherwise he'd be feeling even more rotten than he does already no doubt. We've seen he's got the speed and has a tidy style if he can keep it upright. Just needs to relax and calm down a bit. Track could do with a going over at some point. 1st bend seems to be pretty tricky and unless you've got the rediculous speed of Ward, pretty difficult to pass on. stevebrum 6,824 Posted July 10, 2014 You're right, every single one of them is terrible. Our link up with local radio station before the racing is good, very up to date music. Music between heats is good. Porkie may be dated (according to some) but he is a good crowd pleaser.
orion 7,615 Posted July 10, 2014 Good meeting and a good win ..Yet again Fisher makes a clown of himself by asking Greaves if next week he will be able to complete 4 laps . What a tool
hagonshocker 1,956 Posted July 10, 2014 Track is crap Hardly...it's rider error causing the falls nothing wrong with the track..in any case a bit rich coming from a Pugwasher! If anything track seems to be prepped a bit too safe these days needs a bit of digging up ...Poole just needs digging over!
van wolfswinkel 635 Posted July 10, 2014 Good evening of racing/good weather at the Shabbey...brilliant racing from Wardy, another good comeback from Swindon...Gusto top Robin...Killer and Morra form is a concern though. Crowd of over 1600 according to a steward, so not as good as last time against Poole. Track was bumpy but some good passing.
Gemini 4,894 Posted July 10, 2014 Who let the dogs out ??? Not at Swindon. They don't like dogs. Actually I thought the presentation was fine and I liked the music too, including Amarillo, but then I'm old so I would do. Not a bad match really and there was some good racing, especially early on. Adder 94 Posted July 10, 2014 Entertaining night out that. Good to see Crumpy in the bar after and Hi to the Workington gang, good luck at Somerset tomorrow. Oh, and Shovler sneaking off to the exit after Heat 14 again the highlight of the night.
A ORLOV 8,628 Posted July 10, 2014 A good close meeting tonight and with the mistakes and falls Swindon had we were lucky not to be beaten. Darcy was outstanding and always a joy to watch. The Swindon rider of the night was Simon but both sides had heat leaders that under performed. Peter and Nicks scores were disappointing as were the scores of Magic and Przemyslaw. Swindons second string riders were stronger and that is what gave us the win.
LagutaRacingFan 1,936 Posted July 10, 2014 Kildemand looks a different rider in the GP's and Morris is poor. The Robins need to string a run together to make the PO's
Pirate Baz 218 Posted July 11, 2014 Oh, and Shovler sneaking off to the exit after Heat 14 again the highlight of the night. Steve always goes round to the first/second bend for the final heat at Swindon to get out of the car park promptly. No 'sneaking' about it.

Skidder1 7,637 Posted July 11, 2014 Happy with an away point - would have been happier with a 2 point draw but that was never gonna happen after heat 2!! Josh G and Vaclav disappointing as AORLOV correctly pointed out - but Pawlicki should have pulled out, as he is either carrying some sort of injury or is ill with something!!?
