Rye House V Somerset 8th August

Recommended Posts

No thread yet, can't imagine why. Another slaughter tonight.

Is this the worst Rye House team ever? Stumo recons at least a 20 point win for the rebels.

Happy days.......... Not!

Don't think that what happened last night has much to do with tonight

Depends which riders turn up Boxall for example looked ok at Ipswich then none from five at Somerset.

Those wondering if this is the worst time the Rockets have endured probably wont remember the times after the break up of the 1980 Championship team when it was a real embarrassment following the Rockets to places like Exeter for the ritual slaughter

I suppose Allen and Starke will put in far better performances than they ever did as Rockets but given the ease with which we put away Redcar you never know.

Whatever happens i hope that the majority of the team are shown the door at the end of the season and that the Promoters decide to concentrate on Rye rather than Kent which has dragged our club to new lows. If not there wont be a club.

Somerset will be buzzing after their last visit when they took us apart. See if Kennetts shoulder holds up, he could be the key. The weather won't come to our rescue tonight. Expect an away win, but only by 8-10 points

Hope we've got a guest lined up incase Kennett is absent again tonight. Probably be someone like Ritchie Hawkins mind.

Somerset to take all 4 match points tonight, if Kennett is absent it could be a mauling.

Would you get rid of your team manager aswell Shadders or do you think he is doing his best with what Mr Silver has given him?

Is this worse than the Big Ron days of 1991 - 1993.

Dream on shaders. The Rebels sense a wounded animal in the shape of Rye House. Thumping away win for me.

Decent meeting tonight, quite entertaining.

I thought the Rockets were desperately unlucky to lose this. Allen getting away with some shocking rolling starts.

Much better performance from the Rockets, looking like they had a point to prove. Hopefully we can take something from this and take the points off Newcastle on Wednesday.

Injured his shoulder at Ipswich on Thursday. Intense physio on Friday did the job

But if Kennett had riden at Somerset with bad shoulder it would have weakened the teams performance and not given value for money for the paying Somerset supporters.

Wether he could have rode or not Kennett is the one Rye rider who deserves NO critisism this season.

Starting to worry that after a few iffy results Ryes top six chances are wobbly
