HadrianDog 291 Posted December 24, 2014 (edited) And this memo changing from 7 to 5 was only sent to one club even though Berwick had declared an interest in an Aussie rider and declared him on a 7? On another point if the BSPA do manage to coerce{ha ha} the UKBA, how many other clubs are going to claim foul because they lost the potential services of a rider because they merely followed the existing rules. ruffdiamond 6,115 Posted December 25, 2014 Cant blame Jenga for milking this one - after all when you are right less often than a broken clock you have to make the most of it when you are. A bit harsh with how its expressed ( I dont go along with the cheat part) but spot on with the fact its another own goal by the Rebels. Well, a broken clock is right twice a day, usually, lol

Think you will find on Press Release when Berwick announced him it said a 5.00 average? From 2 Dec release on BSPA site 'Jake will bring a CMA of 5.00 to the squad, becoming a Berwick club asset after the required number of matches'

Lord Lucan 375 Posted December 26, 2014 Would it not be easier to just have a 6pt average applied to "every" import rider irrespective of where they originate from so no matter whom you pick they will start from that figure then everyone knows what they are dealing with, without, having to go through all of this every single year?

springdale 45 Posted December 28, 2014 Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone Promoter or BSPA could give some info as to what is happening, every since this saga with Jack Holder's average began the BSPA and the Somerset promotion have not had the decency to even mention it, so much for keeping fans informed

It appears that the BSPA will be meeting with the UK Visa & Immigration in the New Year to discuss the situation over Non EU riders, and until that meeting is concluded, and the whole thing is finally clarified, neither have anything to announce.......So what 's the point in making an announcement, until you have something to announce For what it's worth, my opinion is that the UKV&I will not move away from the 7pt average, and the BSPA will have to adhere to it, but until that is decided, no proper decisions can be made on the riders concerned, even then they may not qualify for a visa, so again there's really nothing to say.
