mdmc82 2,878 Posted February 9, 2015 It has been confirmed today that when a rider is not a asset of the EL or PL club he rides for , the league of his parent club will get priority in fixture clashes.

dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,706 Posted February 9, 2015 What seems surprising is that the PL clubs would vote for this. Would take 3 to side with the EL sides (assuming it was a single vote) What would they gain to make it worthwhile?
SCB 0 Posted February 9, 2015 What seems surprising is that the PL clubs would vote for this. Would take 3 to side with the EL sides (assuming it was a single vote) What would they gain to make it worthwhile? Do all EL clubs get a vote while 4 or 5 PL promoters dont? Peterborough probably didnt get a vote due to not being confirmed at the time, Glasgow due to new owners, Workington not had 3 years yet, same with Plymouth and Sheffield. erimus11 91 Posted February 9, 2015 Thanks once again...British Speedway and your farcical rules. The season has yet to start and we're already getting crapped on. Hardly seems worth the effort to contemplate how your team might fare when there's no guarantee that your main rider(s) might even be available for a number of your meetings. By my reckoning it's likely that Stuart Robson will probably miss 5 meetings for the Bears because he is committed to ride for Coventry No wonder speedway finds it so hard to convince people that it's a creditable sport
crescent girl 1,905 Posted February 9, 2015 Actually, it seems the BSPA do have their house in order, and have clarified the d/u regulations quite clearly before a wheel is turned.
SCB 0 Posted February 9, 2015 that makes sense - so basically an EL stitch up whilst they had the chance! Hardly a stitch up if it was a fair vote! For years the PL have had the upper hand due to numbers. Which is hardly fair as most the riders are owned by EL clubs - as we're not finding out. so much for the EL needing the PL's riders Thanks once again...British Speedway and your farcical rules. The season has yet to start and we're already getting crapped on. Hardly seems worth the effort to contemplate how your team might fare when there's no guarantee that your main rider(s) might even be available for a number of your meetings. By my reckoning it's likely that Stuart Robson will probably miss 5 meetings for the Bears because he is committed to ride for Coventry No wonder speedway finds it so hard to convince people that it's a creditable sport "farcical rules"? You mean the rules in previous seasons that said the PL had priority over the NL and the EL was fair and just? That olnly happened as there were more PL clubs when it come to any vote. The EL have been screwed over for years with this. Maybe if the PL wanted the riders they could splash the cash and buy them?!
