Swindon V Poole 6 April

Recommended Posts

Oh if Adrian doesn't come back that will suit some Swindon fans on here, I cannot believe people slating the guy after a couple of meetings and now he has hurt himself some seem to be not that bothered.

There is a rather distasteful air of "who cares, we can have PK back" going on, but it's only from one or two people. Not sure I wholehartedly approve of it.

By all accounts, Adrien has injured himself very badly riding for us.

Sure, a lot of people wanted PK back. I wanted PK back. But he didn't want to come and ride for us. Adrien did want to come. Just remember that.

If Peter Kildemand does come in as a temporary replacement - and it's a good option - it will be just that probably. A temporary replacement. Because once his other seasons start he won't be here.

Killer would only want to ride in the UK up till the end of April, also I would think his equipment is all back home.

Adrians injury appears not to be as bad as first thought and he is returning to Poland for an operation, but will still be out of the sport for some time. Hope he recovers without any lasting damage to his hand.

The wheel from Troys bike not looking too good

I really don't think anyone is wishing Adrian ill on this thread, just not representing what we all know is a possibility (Peter as a short term cover for Adrian) very well. Last night was devastating for the fans and the club, as there were a lot of new faces in attendance and many old ones whom I thought had given the sport up for good and the match was not a good advertisement for the sport, although there were some good races. I think what SteveO may be saying is what many of us thought on the night-that Adrian did not perform well. However, I for one would have been prepared to forgive a slow start and expected him to improve massively on last night's showing until the accident ruled him out for X weeks. It has not been a couple of meetings, just a percentage of one and you cannot form an opinion on that short a period of time. I am sure everyone wished Adrian well-I certainly do and hope he has a speedy recovery.

In the Adver it has been announced that Adrian has had to fly home to Poland for the operation as Bristol Hospital couldn't fit him in, feel very sorry that he has to travel all those miles in so much pain, but at least the hand is not as bad as previously thought !!! Apparently we have Hans and Scott Nicholls as guests for thursday, also looking for one other.

Probably a guest for Lewis as well if he has ligament damage.

Well I wish the Swindon riders a speedy recovery they really had no luck at all yesterday but I guess it happens sometimes. The music was ok until they cracked the 80s porn music out.

Well that's bloody nice isn't it

Nothing wrong with it - he should take the time to get better. If you read anything else Into it then that's your problem

couldn't make yesterday due to the inappropriate start time and bloody awful traffic on the motorways... bloody caravans.. :D

just a question on the ref.. apart from being a absolute t^&t... was any of his decisions biased at all..

only asking as we Robins fans knows his history..!

hope the boys are back on their bikes asap.. :t:

That ref Robbo has his usual off night, is he from reading or oxford?

Any team to lose three riders through injury is unbelievable bad luck. plus, to lose your match at home compounds that bad luck, Then add to that, to lose to your biggest rival for a playoff position makes it ten times worst..... Had the match been against say, Leicester, or Wolves, then probably, it wouldn't be as bad, because the team could make them points up.

Some on here say you make your own luck, but for some, that's the way it always seems to go........ Just hope the injured riders get better quickly and that this is the last piece of Bad Luck Swindon get this year........

Didn't realise Miedzinski's injuries were so bad, hopefully he will quickly recuperate and be racing again soon - best wishes to Adrian anyway..

Very sad to see that our NHS couldn't accommodate him though :nono:
