Redcar V Rye Pl 30th April

Recommended Posts

Can't see this anywhere on here. Travelling up soon. Not expecting to much from the Rockets but recon at a minimum of picking up a point if not more. Interesting to see how the track is after recent reports suggest not as good as it used to be.

Need to be beating teams like Redcar while they are struggling. Kasper should be beating his reserve opponents in every encounter while Greenwood is on par with Morley and Konopka so should have a good chance of picking up some points on his debut. Not sure how Palm-Toft goes round Redcar, hope he is guesting for Boxall and R/R is in place for Robin. If it's the other way round we may have shot ourselves in the foot.

The reserves are likely to be where it's won and lost. MPT has some good rides round the MPA. ;)

Expecting another close one - r/r defintiely hinders us and we need 1 or both the reserves to really step up.

Morley has scored some encouraging points away, and hopefully be keen to do well against his parent club.

MPT is not a bad chocie of guest, he has had good and bad meetings here in the past so interesting to see how he goes. Depending on what happens at Peterborough would not be disappointed to see him sign for us.

I assume the 8 day rule on guests is not in force any more as MPT rode at Redcar last week

MPT was a Peterborough rider not a guest last week. ;)

I always understood that a rider could not guest at a track if he had ridden there(for any team) the week before

17.7.1.2 A Rider may ride as a Guest (in an Official Meeting) at a Track only once in an 8-day period unless replacing the Home Teams #1 or is a NL Rider guesting for the Home Team.

And Steve Boxall?

Surprisingly only had 4 meetings at Premier League level averaging 8. Apart from an excellent meeting here last September (15+1) all his better meetings at the MPA/STMP appear to have been at Conference League level!
