It's an awful side Sid, bottom of the table written all over it. Absolute shambles.

The new promotion have shown they have no idea what their doing at the moment with the winter team building.

Rye were going down the drain under Silver, but this promotion will be going the same way unless they learn quickly.

What wally is actually making the decisions at Rye? The communication from them has been worse than under Silver ffs

You can,t be bottom , we at REDCAR have claimed that !!!

Barry Briggs was a half decent rider but his son Tony was shyte...the list goes on!

Briggo was a lot more than half decent and Tony was a very good rider, most certainly not shyte.

No idea what is happening at Rye but would imagine that any groundwork is going to be way behind schedule with the weather we've been having.

Anyone with half a Construction brain would have carried out the alterations in stages, so as to allow the continued use with minimum disruption, but not this lot it appears

Shyte = crap, manure, dung.

Hope a dry spell allows the promotion to continue / complete the construction work. I always enjoy my occasional visits to Rye. Best of luck to Robbo and Leigh for the coming season, two of the most loyal riders you'll find.

Or start

work is well underway actually with a brand new safety fence being put in at present - there have been lots of planning problems but what work can go ahead is being done. People seem so negative about things but don't really understand the full story (far too long to put on here) and a lot of money is being spent - I think when the season starts people will be happier

Just noticed on the Rye web site that Team BMR will be having a display zone at WRSA Celebration of Speedway at Paradise Wildlife Park next Sunday 21st manned by Steve Jenson, John Sampford and Peter Schroeck and some of the Rockets and Raiders team will be there. There is a suggested minimum donation of £5 entry but that also entitles you to entry to the Zoo and if anyone feels like it you could probably ask what is actually occuring at Rye House at present re the improvement works and will it include permanently sorting out the crater at the car park entrance. On a lighter note you also get to see all the animals in the zoo !

Well done the Rye House management. Great opportunity to promote the club and for fans to ask questions and maybe allay a few worries.

Dave Morton in attendance too.

Communication would make a huge difference.

Quite agree re communication, I was looking at the NL Wightlink Warriors forum posts recently, the first entry was from Andy an official member of the Warriors off track staff and I think he made a good start to that forum by introducing himself and doing his best to answer questions, Rye staff should take a leaf from his book, whether we like their answers or not it would be better than the deathly silence we are getting at present.

see previous post go to Paradise park next Sunday - think you may find it has been very difficult to communicate what was going on due to all the planning problems

Well said Startline Sid, I believe this lack of "benefit of the doubt" is because over the last few years Silver used up ALL the goodwill.

Give the new owners a fair chance, of course hold them to account, but allow them a chance to "get their feet under the table" after all they would have never experienced the murky world that is Speedway.

totally agree must admit the fans do not know what has been going on but there have been so many problems that could not be discussed - yes give the new promotion a chance they certainly are spending a lot of money and really do have ambition
