SCB 0 Posted September 3, 2015 (edited) Strange as i would say we are no weaker than the side that got a point in the A fixture !! Agreed. The way I'm trying to look it is exactly that Joonas failed to beat an opponent and Jorgensen can't really be much worse than Robbo was. I think it'll be respectable. King rode well but Fricke seems to be something of a specialist at Blunsdon (well he is a mini- Leigh Adams after all) Edited September 3, 2015 by SCB

hadley7864 224 Posted September 3, 2015 Strange as i would say we are no weaker than the side that got a point in the A fixture !![/quote  Strange I thought we were at full strength in that fixture plus the fact we were in top form and they weren't going so well as I think that situation is now reversed. We'll have to wait and see then.
lionheart 86 Posted September 3, 2015 Neither team have anything to ride for, but to make sure they do it safely. Especially young Maxie.
Gemini 4,894 Posted September 3, 2015 The last ever Thursday night meeting at The Abbey tonight and possibly ever if the mythical new stadium doesn't arrive. Â Should be a straightforward home win given Coventry's absentees. I just don't understand this situation so perhaps a Swindon fan could explain. It's not as if they are building a new stadium in a different area so why can't they just leave the present track where it is and upgrade anything that needs doing ~ back straight bogs for example, although I've never had the pleasure of using them ~ and build the houses where they plan to put the new track?

cityrebel 2,960 Posted September 3, 2015 Because the new stadium will be much smaller leaving more room for houses.who in their right mind would build houses right next door to a new speedway stadium. I just hope the mildenhall situation has not set a precedent.

mdmc82 2,878 Posted September 3, 2015 Swindon are pulling away now but Coventry have done really well to keep it within 2 points for the majority of the meeting when they have 3 riders missing.

WE like them as they are, they should be a listed building, and not demolished to make way for housing. It's a shame you have never had the pleasure of using them. I will miss the blood-curdling cries of people that have used them. At least Swindon fans wont have to bring their owns seats next year.
