dontforgetthefueltapsbruv 10,706 Posted September 23, 2015 Pretty sure that's the case for every club isn't it? You'll always get more through the gate if your team is competitive compared to not to an extent - but some clubs seem to suffer disproportionately.Pboro appears one of those which is strange when you consider the track is almost universally ranked as one of the best in terms of racing entertainment. bdjfan 107 Posted September 23, 2015 Panthers i n 2016 but in premier league please, have watched the Sky Elite league meetings this year including their play offs and found them inredibly boring!!
Crump99 4,476 Posted September 23, 2015 (edited) Peterborough needs a competitive team to get good crowds for the speedway whether it's EL or PL, that's pretty much been the case for the last couple of decades or more. Not the only criteria: remember this? "I will never forget that the 2006 Grand Final, arguably the greatest modern day meeting ever, watched live by over 6000 people and by thousands more at home, was followed by a Craven Shield fixture attended by less than 700 people. If that Grand Final won’t pull people in, then what will?!?!" To answer the question: decent opposition, meaningful competition, decent presentation and communications, and more than 3 days between fixtures (the Grand final was Mon 9th & the probably meaningless Craven Shield with B.Vue/Coventry was the 12th). Lukas 911 Posted September 24, 2015 The bike Sullivan used in heat 15 wasnt run again until being warmed up on the stand before the Cravan Shield meeting and it promptly went bang big timeWhich makes sense as the engine reaches optimium performance just before they let go...that's why you see riders who are flying suddenly lose form like MPT this season when he blew his flyer. peterborough daz 220 Posted October 4, 2015 Ostergaard Grondal Porsing Thomsen Barker 2 brit reserves The big dilemma is Simon Lambert. Arguably our rider of the season but now on a funny average to fit in.

Arguably our rider of the season but now on a funny average to fit in. Nothing funny at all, the blokes been an absolute star this year both on the track and in the pits.
1stBendTiger 13 Posted October 4, 2015 My suspected 4 would be Rye House, Sheffield, Glasgow & Newcastle into EL. Wolves to PL. Lakeside to ? Scnunthorpe & Recar to NL. Birminginham to PL. Could be a right old merry go round this winter or maybe im just cuckoo? Sheffield confirmed as staying in the Premier league next year
peterborough daz 220 Posted October 4, 2015 If Edinburgh couldn't fit in Sedgeman I would be tempted even on his high ish average

Lambert and Thomsen on fairly similar averages but you know which one is the better bet & more likely to put 2-3 points on there figure
