Glasgow V Edinburgh The Final 16th/17th October @7.30pm/7.00pm

Recommended Posts

Its taken the new owners less than 12 months to get their measure. Now they know what they are dealing with. They will have learned cooperation only happens when it suits.

Times are changing, the establishment are being challenged and its our turn to be successful.

Can't believe the Edinburgh promotions reaction.

They must know what they're up against if they chose to go down the route of non-cooperation.

The Brothers are very successful at what they do, and I strongly suspect will overcome any hurdles put in their way to give the Glasgow public the product they want. Or if you want to be cynical, you don't invest £1.8 million and allow short sighted rivals to stop the railroad that's building momentum by the day.

Edinburgh can either jump on the train and benefit, or try to stand in it's way.

If they chose to stand in it's way .......

Think they are going to find out very soon what they are dealing with not wanting to sound smug in any way though i have a very strong suspicion Glasgow Speedway will be racing on a Friday night next year.

Glasgow mafia are out in force on this thread.

What gives anyone the right to hinder a business on when it can operate can you honestly believe that let's say it went to court and all the fact's were laid out to the judge what do you think the outcome would be being honest no court in the land would rule against a business on when it can operate out-with licensing and health & safety.

The only ones being pathetic are the narcissistic Monarchs.

It's them that think "because they have a bit of money" is the driving force for the Brothers.

Do they really think X number of months ago the Facennas were thinking, we have a bit of spare cash what can we do with it?

Oh yes, let's show the speedway world that we have a lot of cash?

Really!!!

Stop gazing at you're belly buttons (nothing intended there MrB )and see the bigger picture.

All I can see now is certain Monarchs starting to feel the heat!

Not at all Edinburgh as a club wouldn't even consider riding on the same night as our nearest rivals. It's more principle than anything else.

They now want fans to boycott Armadale as a result of this disagreement again Edinburgh wouldn't sink to such a level.

The new owners bully tactics are quite frankly not on and as a club we will not lie down to them as we are better than that. They seem to think they can throw their money around and get what they want well they will soon learn that ain't going to happen that's for sure.

Also other things they have done through out the season has been shocking and lacking class. For example evicting a rider from his flat and leaving him on the streets.

So veiled moral high ground argument being deployed.

Really you're just having a dig, be honest.

Oh and didn't Edinburgh and Glasgow once ride on a Friday?

If you want to talk money, have a look closer to home and get your own house in order first.

Yet again this season your promotion has put together a team that revenues cannot support.

Oh and then threaten closure (unless the fans stump up) at the start of the season, once the team has been assembled!

If they weren't chasing glory they would have assembled a team that income can support.

The big question for you guys is ...

"Why did they feel the need to assemble a glory chasing team in the first place"?

I wonder .....

Yes they did ride both on Friday but the clubs were more than 30 miles away from each other then.

Our promotion want to win trophies as they have stated and will not make a team that they do not think is capable of winning the league.

And when they can't afford it, you find that acceptable?
