Belle Vue 2016

Recommended Posts

Whatever happens , with or without Zagar , Belle Vue will put out the strongest team they can with a view to getting to the play offs again and hopefully going one step further.

With the new stadium and a new era starting then we have to hope that everything will start to move onwards and upwards.

To start with there is a minimum 32 meetings in 2016 !!!

Looks like there will be a few potential number 1 riders avoiding EL next year, time for the next generation to step up.... Craig Cook can be 8.5 rider next season definitely

Noticed on the Belle Vue Army site that Zagar will not be riding in the UK 2016. Nothing as yet from the Official site. Anyone with any further info ?

No UK fo Zagar in 2016. At leat he say so... he said there in no improvement for him in UK anymore and he'll race in sweden instead. That gaves him a new challenge and it's much better logistically...

here is the slovenian interview :

Yep, completely screws us up does this. I just hope he informed the management of this a few weeks ago to give them plenty of notice re team building as with him in the side on that average we would only have had to change 1 rider if we wanted to go with the majority of the riders from this season.

Now if we dont get a like for like average wise it may mean we have to drop one of Nicholls, Cook or Fricke.

Shame AJ has gone to Lakeside as he would have been ideal.

Cant see many No 1's out there that would be available on an 8 point average so may well be Cook at No1 & pack the middle order with 6 point men??

Unless we can pull a rabbit out of a hat from somewhere??

someone like vaculik or lindback would be the best option if tgey came on say a 7.5.

othrrwise aim to get someone like freddie lindgren? would allow either a strong 2nd string alongside fricke, or both worralls perhsps at reserve, though thatcwould be harsh on stef.

So all Zagar's b/s about wanting to stay at BV for the new stadium was exactly that then?? B/S!!

Still I expect KK will love it!!

Yes of course, it's not like Wolves need any riders.

Well Matej won't be there so we need to get someone else. We either try and get Lindback or someone like that or go with Cook Nicholls Fricke Grazonek Worral X 2 and maybe Schlein or Bjerre??

That latter option doesn't quite fit. What would lindback come in on? If 7.5 you could have him and Thomsen to join cook nicholls fricke and worrallx2. Though u could only protect one worrall in the draft so may struggle to get both,?

In the season yes, but on that average for next year? We would be crazy to let him go.

And any other teams would be crazy for thinking they had a chance of signing him.

Lindback would be a good option if he wants to ride here. Would like it to be Emil, but don't think there's much chance of that happening.

What average would Lindback come back on?

His last official average was 7.94. His 6 meeting intermediary average was about 4.5 and his 11 meetings that season were about 6.5. So take your pick!

If there are no big heat leaders out there to replace Zagar

C Cook 7.29

M Fricke 6.11

S Nicholls 6.48

M Michelsen 5.67

T Batchelor 6.91 (perhaps Mark Lemon could help get his head back on track)

S Worrall 4.82

A N Other 3.00

40.28

A good few riders that should have the potential to up their averages.

Would like a top no1 but with the heat leader shortage this sort of team may be the only way to go.
