Edinburgh V Belle Vue 1/4/16 @7.30pm

Recommended Posts

After a long winter we finally get our season under way. Rather than the mob along the M8 opening the season we have the Aces of the EL coming to join us.

Unfortunately for us Sam and Max are riding for wolves in the EL, so we've drafted in Ricky wells and Theo pijper as cover. Theo will ride in the main body of the team with Jye dropping to reserve for this one. For the aces no zagar with Matt Williamson coming in at reserve and Steve Worrall moving into the top 5.

Personally think we will have done well if we score 35 points against what is a strong belle Vue side.

Line ups for Friday

Edinburgh

1. Ricky Wells

2. Theo Pijper

3. Kevin Wolbert

4. Erik Riss

5. Ryan Fisher

6. Jye Etheridge

7. Dan Bewley

Belle Vue

1. Craig Cook

2. Steve Worrall

3. Max Fricke

4. Ritchie Worrall

5. Scott Nicholls

6. Joe Jacobs

7. Matt Williamson

Are Cookie and Max Fricke still Monarchs' assets?

A pity Zagar isn't riding. I get annoyed when EL teams race challenges but don't bring there top riders. Thought it was moved from a Saturday to Friday to help Aces bring there best riders. Now no Zagar and 2 missing from Edinburgh - shame.

Bell Vue look far too strong to see any other result than an away win .
