Wolves V Coventry Mon 6th June 2016

Recommended Posts

Are you honestly comparing a 4pt Polish rider who is new to every away track and is a long way off being a EL heatleader to Karlsson who has been riding in Wolves main team for years?

Agree it doesn't help British riders.

Come to that PK's been at Wolves 6 years longer than Woryna's been alive!!

Crazy isn't it lol.

I don't think Wolves 100% home record is under any threat tonight.

Do you think Your clubs Promotion will make any changes ? Do you think they should ?

PK at reserve, great stuff for British Speedway.

Yeah, should have told Howarth to ride more slowly.

Strange isn't it that the Swedish League - often held up to be one of the best alongside Poland - have rules that allow the likes of PK and others eg AJ etc to ride at reserve and there's hardly a peep!!

Not even on the Swedish equivalent of the BSF - assuming there is such a thing?! ;-)

Also, Zmarzlik is still in reserve for Stal despite being top of the Ekstraliga averages.

Completely different team building in Poland.

No CMA limits. Reserves - only POLISH U21 riders allowed. That's why Zmarzlik, Przedpelski etc. stay on reserve as long as they are U21.

Yes I know, not knocking the Polish system.

Just using as an example that the other Leagues also have situations where a good rider can end up at reserve, but few people moan about it.

To be fair, Zmarzlik only gets one banked win from it anyway as there's only one reserve race in Ekstraliga.

It's good for Stal though as he can take some of the utterly woeful MJJs rides!

True, very true.

And IMO system is good. Developing Polish youngsters.Whole idea brought to UK was also good but for some strange reasons BSPA made 2 mistakes.

1st - allowed riders older than 21 to be on reserve. 2nd - messed it up completely this year allowing riders to switch positions.

Whole idea of promoting British youngsters is almost ruined now.

Hopefully they will work on it again to make it better and simple. Suggesting minimum 1 British U21 rider on reserve all season long. The other may be older (23 max?), also British and all year on reserve as well. Is it that difficult for them (BSPA) to have simple rules like that?

The issue is that when the scheme started there weren't enough brits u21 of a suitable standard, and you would struggle even now to get 16 riders u23 of the right quality.

if PK can get dialled in pretty quickly tonight I could see him taking a full quota of rides where available.

hopefully it's the PK we had last season compared to the PK we got the previous season after being dropped by Lakeside although I think that was mainly down to machinery.

a great second string to have and also a great mind in the pits for the younger riders

It is always difficult in first year or 2. Some Polish U21 are also pretty bad and so what? Thanks to the system we find every year some talents like Zmarzlik, Pawlicki brothers, Przedpelski, Dudek and many more.
