Col 864 Posted December 22, 2016 Who can say, Woffinden was far from unbeatable during the play-offs or previous meetings. But the change seemed to inspire Wolves, give them more belief. Lindgren's form certainly picked up once Woffinden was reintroduced. He had had a very bad previous month. Let's not forget that Thorsell & Masters were pretty useless away from Monmore in the final. PK was Wolves standout performer that night aside from Lindgren, not Woffinden.
Tommy Sweetman 480 Posted December 22, 2016 We don't know.. Woffy wasn't exactly unbeatable that night on his 'best' engine was he? PK had a similar return in the league meeting at Belle Vue on his own equipment. One also has to remember the contribution Kyle Howarth made in the final few meetings where he had a couple of 12 point scores including top scoring in the home leg final. Has well as helping out PK,didnt Woffinden also sell an engine to Kyle for use in the last few matches. So really,Woffy probably had as much impact off the track, than his scores on it. Think to many people, are writing off Howarth at their own peril for next season.

BWitcher 12,453 Posted December 22, 2016 They didn't that much Really? His debut against Lakeside is reported as one of the biggest gates of the season.
DJWolves 82 Posted December 22, 2016 All the riders that scored well for Wolves in the final made a difference Just as did the sensational 5 points coming from superstar Zagar at Monmore, not to mention the memorable point that Fricke got that night too. And Scott Nicholls three points in their home leg was also a factor. Maybe Zagar should have helped his team by loaning his bike to someone that would have ridden it a little faster round Monmore? Over the two legs one team rode better than the other from what I remember
Beowulf 1,513 Posted December 22, 2016 2017. Reserves poor. Skornicki will struggle. Howarth was hit and miss as a reserve last season. Overall average team might nick 4th spot if lucky. Nothing wrong with our team at Poole. There was nothing wrong with your team last year and you failed to get past the sem-finals.

Gavan 5,062 Posted December 22, 2016 Wasn't Poole in the Semi's More like EL Select oh do you mean the first leg where you had a world class rider replacing an out of form Andersen...........or the second leg when your number 1 failed to win a race and 2 of your own riders bottled it?? Poor poor loser
stevebrum 6,831 Posted December 22, 2016 Newman will show 60% of your team they way around Monmore next season. He will have to as the rest will probably let you down AGAIN.
