Hunters 210 Posted October 25, 2016 Essentially a 3 man team it will be hard to get the 39 points they need. Those three will have to ride their socks off and no falls or engine problems. Presumably the 8 day guest rule meant no Coles and will also mean no Shanes on Sunday so one trophy each could be the result. None of us can complain about that. ruckerroo 792 Posted October 25, 2016 Im the voice of doom but i would have a steady ben hopwood at 4 for eastie, stonemans scored all his points at reserve for the island. Chucked in deep end and has to take the rr ride as well, very very dangerous
Heathen1984 139 Posted October 25, 2016 With stoneman in for woood its gona make it close, brummies could do this I think. Hopwood is injured.
gazzac 1,015 Posted October 25, 2016 Stoneman scored 10+1 from reserve recently when the IOW played there. As Birmingham have a team that's strong 1to7 that was a pretty good score from any position. Think he'll get more than Coles did so baring mishaps all should be okay for the Eagles.
Heathen1984 139 Posted October 25, 2016 Yeh good score but beat Whitehouse on few occasions, he obviously aint gona be there tomoz, wood is a massive loss and cud cost eastie.

Cockle, Campos Shuttleworth even Atkin. It almost looks like they are just fulfilling the fixture.

ChaosTheory22 13 Posted October 25, 2016 I think you are seriously underating Nathan Stoneman, IMO Cockle tires too easily not what you need against a young Brum side
guitar_art 247 Posted October 26, 2016 Good track with a proper shape. Six good riders. 1974. Nuff Said
Alex2000 266 Posted October 26, 2016 Just need to keep the 3-3 going as much as possible and capitalise when one of the young Brummies make a mistake. This will be the most high pressured meeting ever for some of the Brummie riders (barring perry and Ritchings) I'd like to hope that experience from Adam and Jake and maybe perks can keep us close. Adam15, Jake 10, Perks 10 and stoneman needs a couple just to pull us over the line. Obviously is a shame that Georgie can't be there tonight but family does come first. Plus if we lose there's always next year!
gazzac 1,015 Posted October 26, 2016 First half dozen heats will be the key for both teams. If Eastbourne can keep it within 4 or so by heat 6 think the strong top end will count later on, if Birmingham bang in a few 5/1's early on, pressure may tell on the Eagles. Whatever, still finely balanced and certainly could go either way. Just want no mechanical gremlins on either side, and no injuries.
uk_martin 1,606 Posted October 26, 2016 ...Birmingham have a team that's strong 1to7 that was a pretty good score from any position... Birmingham do NOT have a team that's strong 1-7 at all. Recent result have shown that we have a team that's strong from 3-7, plus an unreliable if not dodgy guest, that's only once put in a true #1 performance, plus Reidar Replacement that could be just as unreliable. Against a team with a strong top two plus an impressive Jake Knight and and guessing that the Brummies will continue throwing some more points into the wind as they seem prone to do lately, I can't see the nostalgics or the romantics getting their way tonight. Brummies will do enough to win, but not by enough to get their hands on any silverware. ...if Birmingham bang in a few 5/1's early on,.. Are you seriously expecting Ellis Greaves and Adam Ellis to be on the wrong end of early 5-1's? Can't see any "Ellis heat" being anything better than a 3-3 from the Brummies perspective, or even heat advantages to Eastbourne, sadly.
ruckerroo 792 Posted October 26, 2016 Ellis , perks and knight should be good for 31 between them, still gotta get 8 more. Right down to the wire tonight
