mrss 691 Posted March 29, 2017 I take it Kings Lynn speedway club haven't any interest in the Young Stars as there isn't a mention of tonight's meeting on the Stars website. No team news or anything else.

therefused 824 Posted March 30, 2017 Good job he turned up. Fair enough he top scored, but he replaced Hughes, who im 95% sure wouldve scored more than Campos. Nothing against Scott, but hes not the rider we need to replace our number 1. If he is to ride all season, you may as well use the points up elsewhere and have a better second string. I'm not saying it was forced on him, but it was out of necessity as there are no replacements available for Kyle Hughes. and you won't see him all season, much much less in fact some clubs try treating the league as a breeding ground for the future, the 'stand alone' clubs have other priorities Edited March 30, 2017 by stevehone

Campos scored 9 from 4 which is technically a 9.00 average yet Hughes is on 8.67 (which will be weighted higher in home meetings than away meetings anyway). So Campos out scored what you would statistically have expected Hughes to get. Also thinking about the opposition, would Hughes really have won half his races, to outscore Campos, when facing Ayres then Greenwood, then Perry and then Ayres and Perry!? Ommer Mon 381 Posted March 31, 2017 (edited) Really pleased with the result and performance. Looks like we could be in for a pretty decent season. The balance of the side is identical to last year with three big hitters and the rest hoping to improve on their averages. The difference is in the bottom four. They all look very lively indeed and are all capable of putting a couple of points on their starting averages. Bring on the Brummies next week.. Kyle scored 6 for Rye in 2015 and can't find a score for him for 2016. So I disagree he would've scored more. Campos rode well.
