Poole Vs Rye House Thurs 10/8/17

Recommended Posts

Good win for the Rockets, we have to immediately move on to the next fixture and win that too however.

While it's nice to go to the biggest club in British Speedway at present and win it isn't season defining or a hugely memorable moment if we don't kick on from it. While achievable the play-offs are still an unrealistic target imo.

It'll take something very special to beat the feeling of winning the last ever meeting at Exeter to clinch the 2005 Premier League title 12 months after being humped 75-18 at the same track.

They're all members of the Poole 30-60 Club! Come on, print those t-shirts!

Wow, as a Rye House fan who as put up with bottom of the Championship table dross for some years and just accepted it we feel we have accidently gate crashed a strangers funeral, as I haver never really visited the Premiership board I didn't realise the feelings between Poole and the rest of the league.

But some of the Poole posters claim he is the best manager and that the club is the most successful in the league

Also what has happened to the new "turbo twins" that were predicted to be the next best thing. I know Brady has just come back from injury but they appear to be a couple of damp squibs.

Probably Rosco

Jack Holder damp squib ? First lets get this straight, I'm not a Poole supporter & NOT keen on ANY Aussies full stop. But give Jack his credit, flying for Peterborough & to score paid 15 from 6 at Leszno makes your comment laughable!

Just like his performance last night and the ones against Somerset and Swindon where he scored 4 then 5 recently, he might be flying at Peterborough but the predictions of Poole fans and others claiming these two are the next turbo twins are laughable !

I wonder who he presented the Pirates man of the match to ;)

The actual meeting sponsors last night were Wessex Marine and their owner David Adams had a very good letter posted in Speedway Star this week.

OK much of what others have been saying and much of it won't happen, but a genuine sponsor with genuine speedway interest ..... and concerns.

Poole a different side away.

That's the most curious aspect of it all. Perhaps the run of home defeats has instilled a lack of confidence among the riders concerning their own circuit, where away from home they tackle the track on its merits.

At least we have a track to invite a camera crew down too.

You really are not a speedway fanatic at all are you.... that's twice today you make a dig about closed tracks or wanting tracks to close.

More like the turbot twins, all at sea, must be bloody awful supporting Poole without that fantastic Aussie duo of Noddy and Darcy. Big loss to Britain, although out of order for DW to slag off GB with everything the fans have done for him.

Rosco number 1, has won league with Robs and Bees

Also more pressure at home, less away.

But that's the same for all teams, 5 home defeats in a row, yet apart from a smashing at Swindon good away form. Very unusual and rare in speedway.

Don't blame Middlo for not being able to motivate KK. Or demotivate him. He can do that very well himself. Filling the reserve birth in a UK league must be quite an experience for him but when he gets into the main body will be the test of his motivation.

PS well done Rye
