If that's the case its a pi55 poor attempt at team building to end team total at 41.06   =   minus   1.44

'Panthers have been widely linked with a swoop for seven-time British champion Scott Nicholls as their number one, but any deal for him depends on the British Speedway Promoters’ Association (BSPA) overturning a rule which currently blocks him from racing in the SGB Championship due to not having gained an average in this league last season. A decision on that situation is understood to be imminent. It is thought that club asset Tom Bacon is waiting in the wings to complete the Panthers team at reserve providing the move for Nicholls gets the green light.'

NOTHING CONCRETE ABOUT THAT ... ALL IFS AND BUTS REALLY

Nicholls if signed, will do well for the Panthers. But, that’s one rider who will take a hit on his average straight away which isn’t the name of the game. Not a chance he’ll even hold that average.

As has been said though we know how Ged works by now and the Panthers team that finish the season will be much different and stronger than the one that starts! With fewer fixtures they’ll have to make sure they don’t give themselves too much to do though and make those inevitable changes as soon as possible.

Looking at the fixture list unless League Cup meetings count towards averages it could be July before 'new' averages come into force

Could be all too late by then.....

Only fourteen home meetings and they still manage to twice have two meetings in three days (Friday and Sunday)  Are they barmy or what

And the second of those clashes with the football world cup final (15th July).

The MCN Festival are advertising speedway on Saturday night 19th May - but fixture list showing home match on Friday 18th May.

That article is a mess. You'd think Plummer wouldn't get ice hockey & speedway mixed up.

I have no doubt Scotty would do well if signed and also know he would have to work miracles to maintain a 9.72 average what bothers me is the long tail of under achievers Panthers have got , I don't want to see a one man show , what I want to see is a team that can  compete. This is a pigs ear of a team.

Not barmy at all, it's wholly dictated by stadium availability.
