KENT ROYALS 2020

Recommended Posts

Absolute shambles, embarrassing.

Credibility of the sport gets lower and lower every year

So what should Kent have done instead? How has completing the season lowered the credibility of the sport!  They couldn’t have started the season sooner (COVID) and they have had a lot of rain offs.

Royals v Armadale now on 19th October. The Royals v Mildenhall home match will be away at Mildenhall on 24th October.

Mildenhall's title then

Fingers crossed. Id be delighted to see the one remaining standalone team win the league this year.

It would have been easier to take if they had to go to your place and win it… not race as the “away” team at their home track, win by 7 and get 4 points

Were any tracks asked if they could hold this at a neutral venue? And if so, who?

What track would be crazy enough to host it without any home interest?

No idea of the financials of this but either Kent and Mildenhall are splitting the costs or Kent have handed a home meeting to Mildenhall because they are desperate for any chance of a title.

Sadly for whoever wins overall it will be remembered as the year the NDL was on its knees and not for any achievements on track.

It would be financial suicide to run at a neutral venue. How many Kent or mildenhall supporters would go to say Leicester, how many Leicester supporters would be bothered to watch it. Kent still have a chance of winning the league so will be up for winning at mildly for the 2nd time this season. Should be great match.

It might not be such a problem if a league title wasnt involved,

How can anyone take this seriously when an away team could get 4 points on there OWN TRACK,   this is BSCL at there very worse

As I said before what would you have done instead, bearing in mind the events of this year?

Kent should never have been allowed to start the campaign in September. They shouldn't have been allowed to run NL

Not sure on the stats of other teams but Kent had 6 home rain offs pre-October and sadly the CL meetings bumped the NL meetings down the priority order. Its fortunate in some respects that a KOC run or the CL play offs weren't reached as it wouldn't then be remotely possible to fulfil the fixtures. As much as it could be the end of the NDL i can't see Kent entering again next year (or potentially being allowed to enter) and same applies to any club unless they are standalone or can run double headers.

The whole sport needs to start looking at end of September being the cut off rather than dark wet October.

if kent won and can’t see it really as mildenhall have strengthened big time kent would only get 3 points even if they won by 6 or more away from home you couldn’t make it up lol
