The Golden Helmet 1962 / 63/ 64. ( Norwich).

I was sorting through all of my Norwich programmes and came across three meeting's that the Golden Helmet match race championship was contested.Did   Norbold, Split, Bobbath ( etc go? if so what were there recollection of the races. 11/05/62    OVE FUNDIN 2 - BJORN KNUTSSON 0      15/04/63   OVE FUNDIN 2- PETER CRAVEN 1                22/05/64  OVE  FUNDIN. - BJORN KNUTSSON (POSTSPONED)? waterlogged track is this correct ? gutted as i have not got the rearrangement of the match race championship programme.

I never went to Norwich. It closed before I managed to get there! I left school in 1965 and the year before I applied to go to Keswick Hall College of Education, near Norwich, for the simple reason that I would be able to go to Norwich speedway, but sadly Norwich closed at the end of 1964, so although I went to Keswick Hall and had three jolly good years in Norwich - A Fine City - I never did get to see speedway there!
