Islander15 1,065 Posted December 15, 2021 The teams are upto date now that they are confirmed. However the BSPL still haven't released the final season averages, so I can only work off the most recently published edition at present.

PotteringAround 633 Posted December 15, 2021 Need to add Mildenhall Sam Bebee 5.16 Elliot Kelly 4.
PotteringAround 633 Posted December 17, 2021 (edited) MIldenhall add:- Ryan Kinsley 9.14 Alex Spooner 6.40 Josh Warren 3.00 (Going to guess that the last 2 were supposed to be Nathan Ablitt and Sam Hagon. Now may be Sam Hagon and Connor Coles. Other option which would fit is Jason Edwards and Luke Muff) Edited December 17, 2021 by PotteringAround

Sam Hagon I would think would suit Oxford & vis-versa. Not being a Sunday track might also be a bonus with the Grasstrack DNA Sam 350 has!
PotteringAround 633 Posted December 17, 2021 So the second team to complete is Mildenhall:- Ryan Kinsley 9.14 Jason Edwards 8.84 Alex Spooner 6.40 Sam Bebee 5.16 Elliot Kelly 4.19 Luke Muff 3.00 Josh Warren 3.00 39.73 Never easy to build a team to defend a league title. Strong top two, weak bottom two. Mediocre middle. BUt now we've got 2 completed teams to compare...

With Mildenhall's proud record of producing young British talent (Mike Lee, Mel Taylor, Carl Blackbird + many more) it does go against the grain somewhat especially in this league. Other than his age I know very little about Luke Muff other than he has a fantastic name.

Plus can't discriminate against age these days!

I don't rate Muff on the grounds that his prep is poor, his skill set is limited and any results are often throttle jockey related. 1 hour ago, szkocjasid said: Mildenhall look weak to me, but as long as there are another 6 weak teams they could do ok! Certainly look poor against Belle Vue. Top 2 are strong, Spooner is a good signing for anyone but 2nds strings are iffy and reserves should be the lowest pairing in the league (but probably wont be)

Didn't Michael Lee ride for Boston first ? just remember him turning up at Perry Barr as a 16 year old and scoring an 18 point maximum.... Can't think of another rider that has ever done that at such a young age...( I know Joe Screen broke track records at 15 years of age?)
