The Danny Ayres Memorial Meeting, ‘Danny’s Day’, will be held at Glasgow Tigers Speedway on Sunday 11 June 2023 with the first race starting at 2pm. It will be a fun filled day for the family where we will remember Speedway’s No. 1 showman. Any proceeds left after the running of Danny’s Day will be donated to the ‘Who DAyres Wins Charity’ in name of our late Danny Ayres, this charity is set out to help professional sportsman with their physical and mental well-being during their ‘off’ season, injury time and in retirement.

 

We are offering fans and businesses the chance to get involved by offering a variety of sponsorship options across the day including race, rider, tyre and even mascot sponsors! We will also be producing a programme where businesses can advertise so there really is something for everyone.

 

Sponsorship prices start at just £10, and the prices quoted are set at a minimum so if you would like to donate more by increasing the sponsorship amount, please just get in touch with us.

Sponsorship opportunities available:

 

1. Shared race meeting sponsorship: to include a half page advert in programme, free tickets and programmes for 4 guests, cold buffet, centre green experience to watch a race, pits tour, VIP sponsors seating area and tannoy announcements. 2. Main meeting Race sponsorship: to include name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. Minimum of £50 per heat, Semi-final £100. Final £200.

 

3. British Youth Race Sponsorship: to include name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. Minimum of £30 per heat.

 

4. Main Meeting Rider Sponsors: to include name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. Minimum of £50

 

* 5. Tyre sponsors: to include name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. Minimum of £50 per rider

* 6. Fuel sponsors: to include name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. Minimum of £10 per rider

* 7. Main Meeting Rider Complete Sponsorship: to include name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. (rider,tyre&feul) Minimum of £100 for package

* 8. British Youth Complete Package Rider Sponsorship: to include name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. (rider,tyre&feul) Minimum £30

 

9. Rider mascot: to include walk out on track with chosen rider at the start of the meeting, tickets for one adult and one child, name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. Minimum of £40

 

10. Referee’s assistant: to include being the assistant alongside the referee throughout meeting in box, name in programme alongside rider and announced over tannoy. 11. Track walk: to include accompanying the riders in their pre-meeting track walk and talk to them. Minimum of £10

 

12. Programme advertising: Quarter page £100. Half page £175; Full page £ 300 (artwork to be provided please via high res print ready pdf).

ANNOUNCEMENT |

Due to the lack of riders we have regrettably had to postpone Danny’s Day 2 until later in the season.

We feel as though the meeting deserves a top class line-up and the date of June 11 has meant too many riders are now unavailable.

We want to thank the Glasgow Tigers Speedway promotion for their understanding and we are working hard to sort a new date later in the season to re-stage the event.

All of those people who have already bought tickets can be assured they will be valid for the new date.

Could you give me details of the charity, please? I checked the Charities’ Commission website but there doesn’t seem to be one under that name.

in reply to above ...  Jodie has all the forms completed and is almost ready to submit just awaiting the person handling it all for her to check over everything .... so the charity will be up and running once this has been done and accepted by the Charities' Commission .
