Just reward, great potential Reid. Sometimes it is hard to follow up a good debut season with one in the following season, be interesting to see how he progresses but he has all the attributes to push on.

As everyone knows, Guests are a "necessary evil", and Speedway simply couldn't run within a team framework without the Guest Rider system... It would clearly be absolutely impossible to run Speedway as a team sport if they didn't share around each others riders every week on a horses for courses adhoc basis... The top tier in the UK only has six teams, compared to Poland, Sweden and Denmark who have eight teams in theirs... And the UK's top tier will use not far off 100 guests, once more, this season, to ensure the season gets completed.. The other three leagues, with two more teams in each, must use well over 100 I would think to complete theirs... Put simply, there is absolutely, 100%, no other way of running Speedway as a team sport..

He is very young and still got a lot to learn, I think a team place at Poole is just what he needs.

Tonight's news on Reid Battye, who has re-signed for Berwick in 2027 is really tremendous. Reid has had (generous) offers from other clubs to leave the Bandits, but will instead "dance with the one that brung him to the ball"
