I might sit in the main stand tonight, if that’s the case. I’d also be closer to the announcer, so could maybe help correct his many errors. Who was the old presenter? Michael Max, I think? He was very good. I remember he was brought down to do the Pairs at Workington and the PLRC at Belle Vue, he was that highly regarded. At a time when there were 25+ active clubs in British speedway, all of whom had their own presenter. Edinburgh have quite a professional set up with no Laurel & Hardy like attempts at humour, but their previous one was also outstanding. I think his name was Scott Wilson. I still have nightmares about ”Peter ‘The Motor’ Carr”” because nine times out of ten, he was winning. -

Don't get me wrong Cue it doesn't bother me personally I swear lots myself but for whats portrayed as a family sport with kids under say 15 and for sponsors its not a great look, can you imagine the scenes if Ronaldo was interviewed on Sky Sports after a match and launched into a tirade. As I say his mental strength to come back from looking death in the face and pretty much learning to walk again is massively impressive and he's probably Englands greatest rider ever. This has been done through sheer hard graft as I don't have him down as having the natural talent of riders such as Loram or Screen but at his peak he had a fantastic racing brain for reading where other riders would head on the track. Just feel he could be so much more when the time comes if he decided to give something back to the sport when his riding days are over but given his temperment and the old guard its a marriage that would probably last a week. -

Is everyone looking at a different forecast to me? Met Office is showing no signs of any speedway -

With all due respect to the Speedway Star, by the time it goes to print and circulated, the information can be 'old hat' and the actual situation has perhaps moved on? 🤨 -
Improving forecast but, call me cynical, still think rain may be the winner tonight. @TheWellBehavedWorrall if it's any consolation, I sat in the grand stand for Ben fund and it seemed like someone's turned the centre green audio down 😂. Not sure if it made the cheesy 80's recurring playlist better or worse 😂.
