  1. Obviously you dont agree, this is MY opinion.Thats what this forum is about, OPINIONS

  2. They did ride well. We scored a 4-2 in heat 2, Max got knocked off and they were never tailed off. Riding well doesn't always equate to scoring lots of points. On the other hand sometimes you can look at a score sheet and see a rider scored paid 4 from 3 rides and then when you look.more closely you find they didn't beat an opposition rider. Finally it is easy to criticise so what would your team have been?
  3. Thank you. I unfortunately started all of this by asking, based on the updates, if a reason had been given for selecting the scunthorpe pairing for heat 15. I had hoped for an answer stating that the announcer or team manager had explained, for example, that a rider had aggravated an injury or another had suffered bike problems, etc. All I got back were what I considered to be assumptions or suggestions and you have confirmed that I was correct in thinking this. Hopefully no one did aggravate an injury or suffer expensive machinery problems.
  4. Thanks to those who replied with their assumptions. I just wanted to know if anything was officially announced e.g. bike problems, aggravated an injury, heat exhaustion.
  5. Just catching up on the result looking at the Updates page. Just wondering why Declan Kennedy and Luke Harrison were selected for Scunthorpe in heat 15? No disrespect to both riders but on the night their scores weren't what you would normally expect and other riders scored more.
  6. Stene also rode for the Ashfield Giants (Glasgow's junior team) against a Redcar junior team in the 2nd half
  7. You never know what you will get with Jye. I seem to remember him having good meetings against the Tigers but when they booked him as a guest he wasn't so hot. I'm afraid I think this could be a banana skin for the Tigers. If all the bears ride at their 'Ashfield best' the tigers could be in trouble particulalry as they are without Leon Flint and Dan Thompson.
  8. The original poster suggested that if the track was made 'good' Poole would romp to even bigger wins. So presumably the Poole management save money on track preparation and reduced wages to their own riders as Mr Head suggests they would score even more points and earn even more points money if the track was 'good'.
  9. So are you suggesting that the Poole managment are deliberately trying to save money by scrimping on track preparation and reducing the amount they would have to otherwise pay their riders in respect of points money?
  10. Excuse me but most Glasgow fans are NOT saying drop Hodder & Perry.
  11. Seems we offered another Saturday night with the meeting now arranged for 2 August at 7pm.
  12. Apologies. I checked we actually peaked at 27C, not 25C, on the day of the Plymouth meeting.
  13. Glasgow produced an excellent racing surface for the fixture against Plymouth. It was dry all week, the temperature was, amazingly for Glasgow/Scotland, 25C, the track wasn't water logged and there was no dust and Nicolai Klindt loved it. So it can be done! Whatever happens expect a gate and go meeting with Glasgow failing to reach 40 and that's me being optimistic. Thanks to our 2 guests in advance.
  14. Posted on a reliable forum that Glasgow offered Scunthorpe Saturday as an alternative but they declined.
