  4. The adverse camber on turn 2 at Rye House was notorious. Some riders that went over that were never seen again!

  5. I was thinking exactly the same as i watched on Monday. If the start marshall pulled everyone tight up to the tapes as he does in Poland it very much reduces the opportunity to roll forward and get a flyer.

  7. Shame but a very sensible decision this time. Hopefully see Adam and Nathan in action next week and see if we can do a Liverpool and pull off a Cup miracle...

  10. There is a slight difference in the spelling of Kurtz it seems . Up North it's Kertz and down South it's Curtz. They are both from Australia but it's a big place you know. It's all in the pronunciation.

  11. Considering that the glass was full and people were having good time on Dec 20 compared to now when running at all seems to be the usual plus point and the regular closure threat is used to counteract dissent then I'd say that it's a half measure in a pint glass however you want to cut it

  15. Worth a try. It was my right. For some reason I thought you might drive a big auto. Could of put it in drive with your right arm then. Bloody sore, but eases off a lot after 2 weeks. Makes you realise how tough these riders are

  16. Watching the video`s - it appeared not to be the warmest night, so attendances should rise when the weather improves. Dackarna should top those figures tomorrow.

  22. That was a discounted price. The price was 7s 6d which converted to 37½p on decimalisation. However the half pence was discontinued in 1984 and the price of the licence reduced to 37p. Why am I telling you all this?

  24. No he's not blind. He just hates Swindon, strange that as he used to live here. Perhaps the Penhill air didn't suit him!

  25. Every meeting I have ever attended at Kent I have seen loads of good overtaking round the outside of bends one and two including last Monday. Alfie Bowtell in particular making it look easy.

  26. Yer that’s Fred Jakobsen not NBJ. So it doesn’t matter. Pirates at full strength.

  27. Try reading what I write again it’s obviously an issue to you Brady has had an issue of going missing later on in meetings..... I even said he may have turned the corner in that respect I look at the Poole team and it’s called an opinion of where the weaknesses may be. In my opinion Worrall is the weak link at the moment..... Jack has been average but upped his game the last couple of meetings and Richie needs to do the same. The good news is that he rides against us next and we are poor away and he goes well at Foxhall so I can see him scoring well in those matches. At Ipswich we have riders doing poorly in Harris and Bellego though Bellego was flying against Lynn so maybe he is turning the corner with his form.... Are you a tad to precious to accept any form of criticism or opinion against your team....... sorry must say that all the Poole team are amazing......

  28. Interesting you say the cambers are all wrong on bend 2, for the last couple of seasons there has been some fantastic overtakes on bends 1 & 2 particularly as the meeting progresses & the dirt moves out, who can forget Kemps swoop round Thomas & Stoneman at the tail end of last season. I don't remember any comments about adverse camber on that bend until now has Len put this in over the winter? You say there should be 3 more air bags on bends 1 & 2 has Len changed the finished position of the bags this year, as again i don't recall any comments from anyone in seasons gone that there is not enough bags & they look to me to finish in the same position as last year. Surely there must be a safety regulation for where they finish which is checked by the referee before meeting starts?

  29. Len had adverse cambers on the second turn as it affected visiting riders at Rye House ,giving home team advantage...unfortunatly here it is affecting the young home team riders..it must be changed before serious injury to some one..and possible track closure due to the accursed curfew

  31. I went to the opening match Swindon v Poole & as I'm sure you noticed the pits seemed to be in someones garden & I'm sure people were watching the speedway from their bedrooms. The tannoy was like a nightclub yet at Kent we a tannoy nobody can hear & a 6pm curfew on a bank holiday, the country is barking mad.

  32. Well only tell the truth and the track is the main problem, coupled with the curfew is a sure fire disaster. At least a negotiated 15 minute extension with the council in the event of the ambulance coming on track should be sorted and in the first instance the air fence should be extended further round the exit of bend 1 by at least 3 sections. Going back to Canterbury days we used to have a 2 hour curfew, 18/20 heats of racing, nothing cut short, a 15 minute extension for an ambulance coming on track and 2 Ambulances always in attendance, nuff. said.

  33. Well I'm back on the track Staff now and am not at all impressed by having to re build the back straight fence every other heat. Almost entirely due to the track cambers which take the riders into the fence, totally wrong. If this is not rectified many more meetings will be cut short without a doubt and paying the extra pound this season to spectate is asking too much, thank god the club never moved up to the Championship, laughing stock would be an understatement.

  40. That would of made Buster cough a bit as well, would of done it if it was his Lynn team, got to say how is it forum user fans see these little possible team strengthening advantages but experienced speedway management like Colin Pratt dont, unless of course he put it to Buster and got a very short reply ending in off

  42. perhaps Torun can use Bartosz Zmarzlik next week? After another couple of wonderful days of Polish action, trust British Speedway to bring us all down to earth with it's utterly farcical rules, which we insist are a necessary evil, even though no other Speedway league in the world employs them!

  43. They were the days when the 2nd division was quality - we were spoiled with a great racetrack and watching a quality team of racers too. Add Charles Wright and Alex Davies to the riders you’ve named too. Quality entertainment week in week out. You’re right on that last point too - where I stood there used to be a group of 10 or more I expect and it used to be crammed for space. Last year it was just me and Willowman.

  44. More tracks should use wristbands. It stops all the hangerones blocking the pit areas. Seen many times riders having to dodge around folk just chatting and not taking any notice whats going off around. When the Ref puts the 2 minute buzzer on and a rider has a problem who needs people in the way. As for Colin handing out the bands, he knows who should be allowed..........Not every Tom Dick and Harry.

  45. I like the show but the one thing that could be improved is mover cover from other team rather Cradley wolves bham it be nice to hear from team managers up north and about teams up upwards in the country rather than been focus on certain ones all the time just a thought

  46. Shame you didn't attend in 2018 then when Workington Comets scooped the board and won the treble and everything on offer in Speedway , huge crowds to see them do so So forgive me for not getting over enthusiastic about a FC playing a Sunday League division let alone in a Stadium that holds 8000, laughable !!! Compare that to a winning Speedway Team racing on bikes with no brakes ......I know whats much more exciting As for the "little" interest its more the financial side that is stacking against Workington , so stick to what you know...in Cumbria we call that 'Nowt' !!
