Today has been a difficult day, mainly because we have moved to another room in a different part of the hospital where we are not familiar with surroundings. Sam has not had any change he is still having episodes of rapid movements followed by sleeping. Sam is having an mri scan Monday. We are finding it hard now being so far away from home. Keeping strong for Sam. Thank you to all your kind words of encouragement it helps us get through the day. Team Norris. Update on Sam`s condition, hopefully Sam`s family will get the support they require at this time3 points

£3 for a programme with 20 + pages seemed to get all the best scores when the programme review comes out in the SS. A simple 8 page programme for £1 does it for me.2 points

£17 was a big mistake in my opinion It was £15 tonight be interesting to see if it stays at that price which, if it does, would mean the promotion were wrong to increase1 point

Even with the reduced limit again for 2019. Why consistently year after year are Berwick Speedway falling short? Like or loathe the governing bodies, they give clubs like Berwick a fantastic opportunity to be competitive every winter. Why again do we have no real top end strength? Why have the club raised admission fees significantly for 2019 yet the management still persist with certain riders who have little to no improvement in them? Nothing wrong with mediocrity but if this continues I don't forsee attendances improving at £17 a pop.1 point

Spoke to a Rob Godfrey last night at the Sheffield match and Broc Nicol was the only rider willing to take the guest booking at Eastbourne due to the Fours on Sunday ,so before slating Scunthorpe I thank Broc for stepping in and this is why speedway will not be a league sport within ten years in Britain1 point

As daft as it may sound I don't think we are far off being a decent side, the problem is we are massively inconsistent and all 7 haven't really fired at the same time apart from the Berwick meeting and they got a hiding. I think the biggest disappointment for me has been Bjerre I know he's had so many engine problems but I was expecting much more, he's been number 1 for Redcar and Sheffield so he can do it. Jorgensen is what he is could score 12 one night and then 5 the next he's just too inconsistent. May as well have kept Lindgren and used the spare points elsewhere in the team. Maybe if we could fit Hume in once the averages go up I'd go for that but other than that I can't see many if anymore changes being made.1 point

People seem to forget that sheffield speedway have to compete with 2 major football teams,as well as the ice hockey ,rugby, basketball, netball ,concerts at the arena and numerous other activities in Sheffield.Families only have a certain amount of money for leisure.Scunthorpe ,Kings lynn and Poole for example should attract better support in their areas as they have less competition for people's cash.Plus the main fact is speedway is dying on its backside. The gap in fixtures doesn't help.If the fixtures were home and away twice with more regular meetings people would keep in the habit but like I've said in Sheffield there is plenty more to do.I think if the sport is still running in 5 years I will be surprised .1 point

Best wishes to Zaine with what looked like a bad one having been throw, what looked like, 6 foot in the air. I expected a tight meeting & even though the score does not reflect this, the racing certainly did. Credit to all riders for giving it a go but, also, being fair & leaving room, just, for racing at its best. Who would not be entertained by that whether you won or lost.1 point

Yeah, very competent rider when he gates,,, but like many others, would struggle to pass wind if he doesn't1 point

Unmotivated by a guaranteed income, allegedly! The hunger, speed and gating were there last night for all to see, you can understand why some fans, myself included, feel massively let down by last season.1 point

Proctor notched just 3 points for Sheffield last night at Scunthorpe. Don’t see where it’s going for him these days. Ryan Douglas notched 8 from 3 completed rides in the same meeting.1 point

It just makes no difference to me what the times are,,,, it's about 3210,,, but I guess some care,, but to meetings you haven't even been to,,,, mmmm,,,1 point

Chris Widman is just not good enough to be in the Warriors team . He poodles around at the back & the only points he picks up is when other riders fall or have engine failures. He is not even good enough to be able to score anything when he will eventually drop down to reserve. It’s about time for the Warriors to unload him & give a chance to a rider who at least will give it a go. Maybe look into the possibility of getting McCauley Leek in on his outgoing Mildenhall average of 2.86 (as of 20/6). If not Sean Tedham could comeback as he loved his time on the island last year. Other possibilities the Warriors could look at are William O’Keefe, Jamie Cousins or even maybe trying to persuade Connor Locke to make a comeback to racing. All 5 riders mentioned would definitely do a better job then Widman. I know blood is thicker than water but it’s about time the Promoters, Dad Martin Widman & Barry Bishop say enough is enough and show Chris the door.1 point

Well that was a pasting.josh auty was excellent entertainment. His races with howarth were quality.Zaines crash was a bad one, lifting coming off bend 4 and trying to get off the bike but unable too before smashing into the fence.Hope his injuries aren't going to be too bad and he's back soon.Nicol deserved more than 5 points for his efforts.Josh McDonald was impressive and deserved his good win .Howarths bike looked tired, drew looks way down on power and confidence ,King won a couple and Proctor looks a shadow of the rider he was.Quite a few races won from the gate.Deserved win for Scunthorpe.Dont know where we go from here, track up for sale and poor performances. Will we be bothering to make any changes or let the season fizzle out ????1 point

Trouble is the ref saw it as unfair riding irrespective of helmet cover- he couldn`t declare it under Polish rules so it had to be rerun.1 point

Is it my imagination or did Lublin just do the equivalent of a professional foul in football? Holders and Doyle are miles ahead in ht 15, and suddenly Laguta inadvertently gets in Michelsen’s way, but not enough for him to fall. He causes the race to stop though. Rerun and Michelsen wins. Something stinks IMHO, very poor when they’d won anyway!!1 point

Speedway Star reported an eye injury sustained in Poland. Replacement Ryszard Fabiszewski did not arrive, hence the reserves covered the rides on the number one slot.1 point

Great initiative from a Club who lost its "heart and soul in Bob Dugard" to Cancer last year; and I understand from recent film that Tom Brennan's mom is bravely fighting it as well. If more people do turn up and Club and charity both make a few quid, then that's a win/win surely?1 point

There's been plenty of strange guest situation since I started going back in 1974. Bob Kilby riding against Swindon twice in one evening for 2 different sides. John Davis guesting for Oxford in place of John Davis. I don't see how the Max Fricke example is any worse.1 point
