  1. And if Sam moves out of reserve we will have a strong rider to replace him

  2. You can't prove Madsen has improved or would increase his average as he hasn't ridden here since riding for Poole.

  4. Fellow poole fans. We race in the championship now. This is the wrong thread. Good luck to all 7 premiership sides.

  6. What must be considered when assessing Harris is that his home track last season was Ipswich, a track he is well known to hate so a move to Peterborough, a track he is known to like will make a huge difference.

  7. HGould enjoyed your right up but how do you have such widely differing views es on the Thompson twins and Jordan Palin. All three had outstanding seasons with Jordan being the top of the 3 on averages . Yet you believe the twins shouldn’t be underestimated and Jordan will struggle personally I think all 3 will do ok.

  8. Although he should be banned from driving if he can get from Ipswich stadium to stansted in half an hour..... more like an hour and twenty!

  9. We think we do, but wait for it to be confirmed. NKI is the one I would like, but doubt we will get.

  12. and he rode most of season with a bad wrist injury which he has had an operation on last week

  13. Just say, those that have improved have done so because of what they learned at Poole

  14. Certainly something I and others had suggested many years ago. I'd like it taken further though that season tickets allow all holders to other tracks for £10 admission regardless, across the top 2 divisions. For local derbies it could generate superb atmospheres of years gone by once again

  15. Worrall is an 8.5 rider in this league. And isnt that far removed from a 9.13 rider in the league. At 3 he could easily be an 8.5 by end of the season if not higher.

  16. Homer may not have been "bricking it", but I bloody was. Until Stewart, produced that ride in ht14. LOL.

  17. I'd also argue that Thorsell was on the crest of a wave before that injury. If people are going to start bringing in external circumstances and variables then so will I. Jacob would be an out and out number now if it wasn't for that crash. We can all play the game!

  18. One thing I'd say about Redcar is that we don't have a massive home advantage as we have a very fair track and most visiting teams ,and riders, ride it well. For Redcar to have a good season we need Jordan and Kasper to pick up a few more points away from home. We relied on Nathan to pick up extra points from reserve and I'm not sure we can expect the same from the 2 young lads this year. Some strong looking teams but things will change a lot during the season and as always injuries will play a big part in deciding things.

  20. Ooh I don't know, I've done it in the past in just under and just over the hour from Felixstowe...and I'm a boring driver who sticks to the limits. Half an hour though is slightly too quick.....

  21. Credit to the Edinburgh promotion a long awaited return for NL speedway north of the border. Here's hoping both sets of supporters give this there full support.

  28. IF they offered a half decent deal for away meetings it would certainly encourage fans to buy season tickets!?

  31. As i previously posted Div 1 have a problem with TV contracts which could be holding up the release of the fixtures- it looks as if Polsat are not keen on offering anything like the league want for showing the Nice Polska league. I am not sure where Eleven Sports stand as they have shelled out big money to show the Extraleague on Fridays. It has been reported that the Nice Polska league could go internet pay per view in 2020.

  32. IT is pure speculation speculation that One Sport will run the series and even if they did why would they jettison Cardiff which is a proven money-spinner. Also the FIM still have to approve the calendar.

  35. Good signing in my opinion, loved him at Poole, would be the first name I would pick, really came on in the last two seasons and very likable character, so good in the pits too, sure to be a great success at Ipswich.

  36. In the race recently posted, Palin led the Thompsons and rode the outside line for the whole race, eventually going too wide on the last bend, while the Thompsons rode the inside line throughout. If Palin had cut across going into bend 1 on the first two laps he would have won. He looked the fastest and the bravest.

  37. To be fair, he’s right. You can’t look at averages in isolation. You do have to take into account the strength of the league and even riding order in the team.

  38. think it shows how far the league has fallen in stature when Klindt is a number one.

  39. Thorssell has not improved over the last four seasons if you look at his Swedish average in the Elitserien: 2016: 1.611 ( per ride = 6.44 CMA) 2017: 1.438 2018: 1.270 2019: 1.396 Taken together the two sets of figures strongly suggest a rider who has plateaued

  40. Are their many Scottish riders good enough for the NL, I only know Ryan Mac who will be a good 2nd string this year. Who else is knocking on the door on the youth and amateur scenes.

  41. i agree, scorpions will be top four finalist ,strong looking side

  42. Indeed, but are they not both as bad? Stevebrum made a claim, he isn't able to back it up or prove it. All he had to do was say he meant 'some' riders.. but he's too stubborn to do that. Lisa may be going on, but she is in the right with her initial point. Stevebrum has no proof that riders 'generally' improve after leaving Poole. Given their success levels over the years that statement is more likely to apply to all the other clubs surely? Anyways.. have a nice Christmas/New Year.

  43. https://www.edinburghmonarchs.co.uk/news-centre/article/2019-12-16/armadale-enter-national-development-league welcome back to the dale devils. Great to see we’ve now got a NL team again this far north. Hopefully the stepping stone that we require to bring on some of the young riders we have up here like before with the like of William Lawson, Derek Sneddon and Andrew Tully.

  44. Andersen had a pretty bad season with injuries and rode as a heatleader for much of it, if he is in the team as a second string and has a clear run free of issues I think it’s inevitable that he will improve his average.

  45. Think young Woffinden at no. 7 might struggle a bit to start with, but once he finds his feet he’ll do ok
