understandable, coming from Poole, that you don't know what a 'motorway blade' is8 points

That has to be one of the best tenners worth of entertainment you will ever see. Take a bow Greg Blair. The myth that you canny take at Berwick has gone . Mr mcleary needs to upload the 3 heats onto the speedway gb site for the speedway world to see .5 points

Everyone is trying their best to make it happen... here's hoping for next season... Regards THJ5 points

So much for the rumour about Rowe’s departure. Would love to see him bang a few points in tonight.3 points

Are you using VHS or Betamax? Yes there's always one smart ass and that's me!3 points

Would love to see the reaction at Premier League headquarters when Manchester City and Sky request that the kick off needs to be put back to 7:45 as a few Newcastle Diamonds fans need to go and watch their team at 4:003 points

Yeah, but wouldn't that be like hindering the progress of someone who might improve and replacing them with someone that wont?2 points

Tom and Benjamin on 8 points after 4 rides in their SGP2 qualifiers, probably going to need a win in their last heat to qualify. Steven goret beating Benjamin big surprise on what we saw last season!! Edit: Tom finished on 10, Ben on 11 neither qualified automatically2 points

I was at the pits. I saw Gary Flint clutching at straws. Probably embarrassed that we turned yous over. He pushed a lad out of the way and then his son.(Young Rocky) who couldn't put the gas oot got involved again as usual. You're well named no idea.2 points

The drainage shown in the pictures aren't for houses cause the normal procedure with house building is that the oversite (the lower part of the house from the foundations to damp course/ finished floor level) is built before any internal drainage (the pipework for the outlets coming from in the house like toliets, baths, showers sinks) is constructed. From what I can see there are no oversites for houses in the pictures. To me its looks the pipework has been built in readiness for prefabricated structures to be delivered and fixed onto them. - I've seen in reports that the new stands at the Stadium will be prefabricated structures! Lets hope we see Swindon along with other defunct tracks back next season!2 points

Which makes it all the more galling. In twice seen him this season he's passed more riders than he did in a full season he was with us. Kept sub par equipment here, flew in rode a few seconds and thirds and flew out. Then all you hear on TV is how he never gives less than 100% no matter what he rides for. Was most definitely not the case for us And what was worse is allied vehicles went out their way to provide him with significant sponsorship while was in GPs and even afterwards before he signed. And that was how they were repaid?2 points

Be great in 2023 to av Swindon, Eastbourne & Northside operating no matter which league.2 points

He certainly is.. A pity he cannot ride in EVERY meeting that takes place... But. Fair play to him though... He does try and do so.....2 points

I know most Glasgow fans have little time for him after he appeared to rip the pish with us but you can't deny he is still fantastic entertainment.2 points
-
he was carrying too much speed and went into the side of starky and knocked him off he even came round after the race and said that to paul2 points

running a last and not making an effort ! could be that they have 2 on the trot , machine probs and saving themselves and their machine for the following heat . . its part of the sport and i dont see why fans should take the huff GET OVER IT .2 points

Greg was superb mate. Felt a wee bit sorry for Kyle as it overshadowed a great meeting for him also. Decent passing from mason to boot. Overall thoroughly entertaining1 point

Not possible, as bladed Wednesday, track nearly sorted, the it absolutely smashed it down with rain, so the work had to stop, inside of the track was under water, Thursday spend hours drying the whole track out before moving the material around, after doing all of that the track was packed in as hard as possible, more work on it Friday with a view to getting it all done early Saturday morning. Loads of rain Friday night, more puddles to get rid of, more time to dry it out again, was so wet that could not even put a tractor on the track until after midday.1 point

No-one shot you down IMO… simply said Plymouth is more Ben’s style of track!1 point

Brennan reserve? Can't ever see Kemp being any good unfortunately. A real pity considering how good he was at 15 and 16.1 point

OK so I have heard from the Expert on Canadian Pre-War Speedway riders and this one got to him too....Here are the two replies I have had from him. "Jim Ferguson was a rider who rode speedway long track and road racing around the time of Chitty and Pepper in Canada. Did not know he was in England racing." "Still, it was little surprise in 1931 when speedway or short track racing was introduced to Canada that Eric was on the quarter-mile track at the old Ulster Stadium in east Toronto, where he shared the honours with Jim Ferguson. Taken from Eric Chitty page on the Canadian hall of fame. I have a photo of Mr Ferguson somewhere in my files." So, not much at all known about this rider, I will post the photo if my friend finds it!1 point

Good win for the Tigers. Thought that Plymouth team looked stronger on paper than what actually turned up. I feel the racing has taken a bit of a decline this season at Ashfield. Felt towards the tail end of last season it was getting better and better each week. Seems as though the majority trying their luck round the outside just goes backwards and once they have worked that out it is follow the leader the round the inside.1 point

Surely Newcastle fans prefer to watch their team getting pumped live at the speedway than the football on the telly1 point

Sorry…..not from where I stand near the starting gate. No deliberate infringement by Harris but he cut in front of Starke leaving him no option but to lay down. Couldn’t believe the exclusion light not going on immediately and neither could the other fans around me watching from that viewpoint.1 point

Oh dear, if it was known to have been planned a fortnight ago surely cancel any meetings that it might affect if it’s a legit plan of course. Unless you are accusing the club as not having the foresight to postpone a meeting well before this was planned and happy to allow it to look suspicious? If it was planned it was planned very poorly. Either way it all looks very dodgy or unprofessional whichever way you wish to view it.1 point

This is true. As I stated before the facility at the Abbey was a recent convenience, a modern 'Toilette De Stade' if you like, built as it was in 1947 compared to the more tue historical 'back straight cess trenches' circa 1895 at the Boulevard in Hull , which I visited once - and only once. Ironic that Hull Angels, Hedon finished up at the Abbey in 1949. But historical interest (sarcasm ?) aside, as a self-confessed track anorak I watch the developments in Swindon with interest, the shortened and re-shaped track was great & better than I thought it would be if I'm being honest, just needs a stadium around it.....1 point

Bottom line is who expected Ipswich to win? me amd mate had put us down for a 10 point loss so for us was a great result. When we have all 7 riders firing we are as good as most. As with the Ipswich town FC forum when they lose the site is on fire with comments but when they win it all goes quiet. Shows most just want their team to fail maybe?1 point

That surely isn’t even up for debate. World class riders that have been as loyal to British speedway as he has over the years are as rare as rocking horse sh!t.1 point

The 'not trying to race' regulation is there for a specific reason and I don't think really intended for riders still in the race. I suppose they could theoretically be excluded from the race under that regulation, but what's to say they're not having engine issues of their own? So provided they complete the race within the time limit, it's reasonable to award the point.1 point

Our commentators do a brilliant job considering the budget we work to. They don't have abundance of data or someone keeping them informed. Just the track in front of them and a TV with the stream before it's transmitted.1 point
