  2. The other side of that is, was MT keen until he got dumped on with team decisions? Has he walked away?

  3. Should have kept CH in the team then

  4. I wonder if Nicki's still feeling the effects of the crash.

  7. Or MT is the reason the Panthers are in the situation they now find themselves in....Anyone can say they would do A,B or C, but you have to put your money where your mouth is. Has MT done this? or has he broken promises leaving Buster as the bad guy?

  8. Simple really. Scott Nichols was not a member of the club but rode for them. He then joined them but did not ride for them. Has now left the club but will be back riding for them.

  10. If that’s the real reason I’d be very surprised

  11. Buster and his cronies have turned us into a tinpot club in a tinpot sport..absolute joke, was looking forward to the start of a new season after that crap last year and here we are..no regards for the fans whatsoever.

  15. This is disgraceful from Pedersen, there must be a way he can be held accountable for this kind of action. Utter contempt for Peterborough speedway and British fans. Absolute a**hole !!

  16. Any truth in the rumour Scott Nicholls and Ben Barker tested positive as pregnant and both teams walked out?

  17. What are you talking about? Did you not read the statement? The club said they were going to be transparent with supporters Clearly there isn't anything else at play here...

  18. Let's not be surprised! Speedway has been rapidly going to the dogs for years. Poorly run by those in authority and promoters who by their own admission, have watched it get this state without doing sod all about it. Rugby league was going the same way a few years ago, but it was revamped and taken over by people who cared about the sport and its now thriving. Possibly to late for Speedway unfortunately. It needed a revamp years ago, but was and still is just plodding along with track closures becoming more regular, falling attendances and no sign bringing it in line with other popular sports. I forecast in less than 10 years that there will be only one league running in this country with possible 10 or less teams. Sad, but fact !!

  19. Tbh in my opinion Tomalin looks a fool, spouting about what we are gunna do and making promises that he clearly hasn’t kept YET. This is the most bumpy ride of a take over if there even is gunna be one now which I doubt. Sad sad way too end

  20. Whilst I agree with the Mental Health issues Craig has and it certainly can’t be easy for him, and as we know can lead to deep depression. But there has to come a point that we have to stop using the issue as a defence . I don’t think anyone would have questioned the crash on Sunday other than a racing incident albeit Bens reaction in the aftermath suggested he thought there was more to it than a racing incident. His tweet confirms that he knew exactly what he was doing Mental Health Issues or not in no way can that be excused regardless.

  21. Just end it all now and have one big meeting instead of going out with a whimper

  22. I agree, I'll cut Buster some slack and actually defend him on this one. Nicki should never have agreed to ride in the first place if he knew that his body couldn't handle British tracks anymore.

  23. Buster and Peterborough are the victims in this case. I actually feel sorry for Buster and the fans on this one. I must of took a fair bit of work to get him over, and for fook all

  24. NP- ''It was a short time with you guys at Peterborough Panthers'' Must be the understatement of the year...

  25. An utter shambles and once again no regard for the fans. They've known for weeks he isn't coming back.

  26. Craig is craig, his issues are well documented and no need to go over them. When he's good he's not only a fantastic Speedway Rider he is also one of the most affable and approachable guys you could wish to meet. When he's not good he can be an absolute dick and be someone you'd be best to steer well clear of. Unlike other illnesses that can cause you to have good and bad days like Migraine, IBS , Gout etc etc, mental illness is not immediately visible and try as they might those who suffer from it can't always control it. That's the nature of the beast of mental illness. I don't make excuses for the guy and I don't think he'd make excuses for himself. I'm sure though that he and millions of others who suffer from it would like a magic cure.

  27. In the spirit of finding fault with this fixture.... When did Coventry move to the the northeast. And who thought the word "demolition" was in good taste in the Coventry team name, given the sword of Damocles hanging over our stadium? And just in case anyone thinks I'm being serious, you clearly don't know me.

  28. God forbid anyone doing wrong to your darling Holder. Its a wonder you ain't got a voodoo doll of Buster and sticking pins in it as we speak. Good grief

  29. It's just leaves a bitter taste. The final chapter of a great club which will probably be remembered for this seasons fiasco, rather than some of the brilliant seasons we've had the privilege of watching

  30. Yes. I understand this but personally if it was me I would forget the promotion and just go and enjoy the racing whilst you can. Maybe just support favourite riders rather than a 'team' if it makes it more enjoyable.

  31. What a load of Boll**** I'm sorry but the Peterborough track is probably the nearest you will get to those he rides on in Poland every week. More to this than meets the eye!

  32. Precisely the reason I’ve said many times that guests shouldn’t be allowed unless there is 2 or more riders missing. Wolves should either have to sign somebody or use RR

  33. ...because 'the family friendly sport' message has worked so so effectively over the years?!

  34. The statement is a grim read for any speedway fan, let alone Peterborough supporters. A huge shame.

  35. The thing that makes me laugh and I've given Tomalin a huge pass this winter is all of the new era talk and the rebranding to the purple colours knowing we've only got 6 months left. May as well have stuck with the traditional colours.

  36. Good luck to the Panthers for the rest of the season. I hope they manage to rebuild the side and feel sorry for the management that the Pedersen situation hasn't worked out for them. I hope the Panthers fans stick with the team and continue to give them your support.

  37. That ranks as one of the most ridiculous comments ever posted on this forum.

  40. Credit to all fellow Panthers fans on here by the way because no other fanbase would put up with things we've all had to put up with for the last 18 months. It's a miracle if we actually complete a Speedway meeting with an actual full time Panthers 1-7 at this rate. Our 2022 season consisted of 6 man teams, R/R's, Guests and towels being chucked in before the meetings even took place. 2023 is already a case of deja vu and we're only in April, R/R, 6 man team and the Towel being chucked in before Thursday's meeting has even started.

  42. Just tell the fans now ffs

  43. No. NDL uses straight averages. A new average takes effect 7 days after completing 4 matches, regardless of whether home or away. (unless your name is Adam Roynon). An unattached rider gets an average after 4 matches regardless of which team you ride for.

  46. If Leicester aren't offering a date, just have a one-off final at Poole. Home advantage cancelling out Leicester's stronger team? Joe T from the cubs can replace Lawson for Leicester!

  47. Wolverhampton, Tai Woffinden. Belle Vue, Robert Lambert. Neither will ever be forgotten. And neither do the sport any favours. But please, can we drop it?
