  1. Okay, France admittedly has one speedway track, but I'm sure you'd have more success if you put promoted speedway in places like Germany, Italy and (yes) Slovenia. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Oh, it's really a surprise to hear that from you Kevin.
  2. Congratulations to Matej. A lot of people in Slovenia expected him to win, but 3rd place is still an EXCELLENT result. WELL DONE MATEJ !!!
  3. Miskowiak took the lead, Zagar was right behind him but then Schlein fell on 2nd bend of lap 3. There will be a rerun.
  4. Smolinski fell in rerun, Bjerre and Miskowiak in the final !!!
  5. Apparently Lindback is protesting against referee decision to exclude him. That's why there is a delay.
  6. Lindback excluded for taking Miskowiak down. There will be a rerun.

  11. Heat 4 : Swiderski slowest from the gates, Lindback took the lead. Right behind him were Korneliussen and Lindgren, but no position changes in this heat.
  12. Heat 1 : All 4 riders equally from the start but Andersson took the lead. Heat 2 : Once again all 4 riders gated equally, but Miskowiak was quickest going into the first bend. Kasprzak was on 3rd place all the time.
  13. Heat 3 : Miedzinski took the lead and Zagar was right behind him. On first bend of lap 3 he came very close to Miedzinski and caused him to fall. Zagar was excluded from re-run.
  14. Come on Matej, I know you can do it !!! Show to everyone who is THE best U21 rider in the world !!!
  15. Just ask Tomaz! He knows it, as many other things! <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
  16. It's 7 pm Central European time and 6 pm British time.
  17. As promised, here is the link for live updates from Wroclaw : http://www.sportowefakty.pl/live_zuzel2.htm
  18. Hi witchnut. Yes there is a couple of slovenian fans on this forum, with me probably being the best known. Unfortunately there are no speedway meetings in Slovenia on October 15th-17th. The last meeting of this season will be staged in Ljubljana on October 10th, that's central european cup (also called Mitropa cup). Bit Center Hotel is quite good choice - I think a couple of british fans stayed there for the Grand Prix of Slovenia last weekend. I've never been there, but it looks pretty nice on their website : http://www.bit-center.net Šou hostel is also interesting place to stay, as it's former prison who has now been transformed to youth hostel and has really interesting interior design. If you want, we can arrange to meet somewhere and have a drink and chat a little bit.
  19. It's definitely Olsen who tells the organizers how to prepare the track - when to take the dirt off the track, when to water the track etc. I talked to one the senior club officials at GP of Slovenia who told me that they wanted to water the track but Olsen didn't allow it. They also wanted to put more dirt on the outside lines but once again Olsen didn't allow and therefore the track was pretty slick.
  20. The Polish site will probably have an update of the meeting. I believe it is called "Sportofakty". But just wait and see. Tomaz will put the link in when we are getting closer to the meeting. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Nice to see you rely on me Garf. The site you mentioned is called Sportowefakty : http://www.sportowefakty.pl/index.php?dysc_id=4 . Another excellent polish site is called Przegladzuzlowy : http://www.przegladzuzlowy.pl/ As Garf has said, I'll post direct links to the sections of this websites where live updates will be available.
  21. Zagar : 8.23 Crump : 8.54 Only one rider was allowed to enter the toilet at a time.
  22. This clip only shows what happened later in the pits. The whole thing started when Crumpy arrived in the pits after heat 22. Zagar's mechanic told him that his move in heat 22 was not fair and then Jason (still on the bike) released the clutch and rode into one of Zagar's mechanic. A few seconds later he also hit one of Zagar's mechanic with his head (he was still wearing helmet at that time). Well that's what Zagar said in the interview in this clip.
  23. Check here for a short videoclip of what was happening in the pits after heat 22 : http://www.rtvslo.si/sport/modload.php?&c_...u=12&c_id=19920 Click on PRISPEVEK GREGORJA ZVABA (you'll need Real player).
  24. I am not sure what the last seasons times were, but last nights were not that fast. Only first few heats produced good times, but later on times increased by almost 2 seconds. Jonsson won heat 1 with 66.31 which is only 0.15 seconds slower that Matej Zagar's track record of 66.16. But after 5 or 6 heats only a few riders managed to get below 68 seconds (Rickardsson in heat 10 with 67.19), while others were making times between 68 and 69 seconds.
