  1. More than 200 photos from saturday's meeting in Natschbach can now be seen on slovenian speedway photographer Borut Cvetko's website : http://www.mediaspeed.net/fotografije.asp?id=599&stran=1
  2. Just to confirm what Tom has already said, here is the artilce 077.3.7 from FIM Grand Prix rulebook : 077.3.7 Starting positions draw The riders' starting positions draw for each Grand Prix meeting will be made by the CCP Secretariat and announced as early as possible after the previous meeting. In case of a Qualified Reserve or Track Reserve rider taking the place of an absent rider, he will be given the starting position draw of the rider he is replacing in that meeting.
  3. Matej Zagar won 1st round of Slovenian-Croatian-Austrian championship yesterday in Natschbach (Austria). He scored a faultless 15 point maximum, including a superb ride in heat 12, where he had to come from behind to pass Izak Santej and Manuel Hauzinger. Second place went to 8 time slovenian vice champion Izak Santej and 3rd to reigning Austrian champion, Isle of Wight's Manuel Hauzinger. Riding in his first meeting after a long recovery from last season's crash, Exeter's Jernej Kolenko finished in 6th place. 1. Matej Zagar SLO 3,3,3,3,3 = 15 2. Izak Santej SLO 3,3,2,3,3 = 14 3. 4. I'm not sure about Berlin, but I will probably give it a miss. The only reason why we went to Inzell is because it's very close to Slovenia and we just couldn't wait for the "real speedway" season to begin. It was a great weekend, with lot of action on and off the track, but to be honest I still find the classic speedway much more interesting.
  5. Hi guys I was Inzell this weekend and I must say it was a great meeting. It was the first Ice speedway meeting I saw live in my life and I was really impressed with all the action. Bauer was just magnificent !!! He was slow from the gates, but then made some excellent passes both inside and outside. V. Komitsevich was also very quick, especially on saturday, while on sunday he didn't really push it. Dmitri K. and both Ivanovs were also very fast. I expected a little bit more from Zorn, but he just didn't seem to be able to be fast enough against the Russians and Bauer. I made some photos from the meeting, which are available here : http://community.webshots.com/album/273933999fgwnaX I also made some video clips. Here is one from heat 12 (V.Khom - Bauer) : http://www.slospeedway.net/images/MOV01453.avi And here is another one from the big final : http://www.slospeedway.net/images/MOV01556.avi
  6. 077.9.2 Ties After the completion of Heat 20 When establishing the order between the riders in the list of Intermediate Classification at the conclusion of Heat 20 and for the purpose of deciding riders qualified for the Semi-Finals, ties will be solved as follows: a) Precedence will be given to the riders (tied on race points) having the most number of 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th placings (a “0” for last placing is better than being disqualified for whatever reason). b ) If the tie still persists and involves only 2 riders, precedence will be given to the better placed rider in the heat where the 2 riders met. c) If the tie still persists and involves more than 2 riders, it shall be checked whether there is a possibility to determine a proper precedence (e.g. 3 riders tied on points: A, B, C: rider A has beaten rider B rider A has beaten rider C rider B has beaten rider C Then the precedence will be: best position for rider A, then rider B and then rider C. d) If solutions a), and c) cannot resolve the tie, then the lowest riding number jacket will be deemed the better placed rider.
  7. That's great. I actually live in Ljubljana, so it would be easier for us to meet here. Where exactly are you staying ? I'm meeting another forum member on friday night in "Macek" bar by Ljubljanica river, so maybe you can come there ?
  8. Great to hear that you're coming to Slovenia falcace. :D Maybe we can arrange to meet somewhere in Krsko (or anywhere else in Slovenia) ?

  10. Yes, Lonigo is still provisional. But as my friend from Lonigo told me, the contract between BSI and Lonigo is due to be signed next week. So I would say it's 99.9 % that Lonigo will actually stage a GP meeting.
  11. Ok Pugwash, I'll come to Macek on Friday night. Not sure about the time though, as we'll be in Krsko in the afternoon to see the GP practice and I don't know when will we be coming back to Ljubljana. But I'll definitely come to the bar to have a couple of beers with you.
  12. What about me Anth, I'm working hard too. I've now rebuilt Australian section, added some more links and put them into 3 categories : Official bodies, General links and Speedway clubs.
  13. GP in Lonigo hasn't been confirmed as yet. AFAIK the contract between Lonigo and BSI should officially be signed at the end of January. I'm sure Mauro2107 will correct me if this is not the case.
  14. Hey Pugwash - you were in Ljubljana and you haven't contacted me !?!?!?!?!?!? You should be ashamed of yourself, mate !!! Beer is usually well below £2. In those kind of bars large beer usually costs around £1, especially if you taste Slovenian brands (Union or Lasko - Union is much better of course ).
  15. Nah, there's nothing better than good old slovenian beer. I must say, though, that German beer is not so bad either. At least from what I remember when I was in Berlin a couple of weeks ago.
  16. To be honest I have no idea what to do in Krsko, because I only come to town when there's speedway meeting. Maybe sunnygirl can help us here. But you have nothing to worry about - slovenian GP will definitely not be rained off. First of all there's not a lot of rain in Slovenia in May and second of all in the last few years we were quite lucky as far as weather goes and the last time the meeting was rained off was in 2002 (I think). To Rico : you're absolutely right about the beer. If you buy it in a petrol station (close to the stadium) it would only cost you around 0.7 Euros.
  17. Here are results from French 2004 championship : 1. Matthieu Tressarieu 60 2. Stephane Tressarieu 57 3. Christophe Dubernard 55 4. Sebastien Tressarieu 53 5. Phillipe Ostyn 51 6. Jeremy Coste Lescoul 49 7. Christophe Martin 48 To ST : the reason why we are struggling to find useful French sites is that there are hardly any !!! Apart from Tressarieu brothers websites there are only Marmande and Morizes homepage and this site : http://www.ccpffm.com (this is French Moto Federation track racing homepage).
  18. Hi falcace ! I can't comment on danish GP as I've never been there, but I would strongly recommend you Slovenian GP in Krsko !!! It's always a great meeting with excellent racing and a lot of entertainment on and off the track. For answers on all of your questions, please visit Slovenian speedway forum where I collected a lof of useful links and other information. Getting to and around Slovenia : http://slospeedway.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=253 Accomodation : http://slospeedway.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=254 Once again - come to Krsko for a great night of speedway racing. You won't regret it !!!
  19. Sorry, but slovenian federation hasn't made a decision about this yet.
  20. And one of the Slovenians too, but not sure which one.
  21. Sorry SullyRox, no KB in this round. Scandinavians have their own QR in Elgane (Norway) on the same day.
  22. I've just received an email from FIM, saying this : Please note the change of Venue for Ind. Speedway Junior WC QR1 . It will be held in Belle vue (Manchester) instead of Wolverhampton.
  23. Przegladzuzlowy reported about this yesterday in the morning : http://www.przegladzuzlowy.pl/news_torun.php?id=1089879491
