  1. Give it a rest, you can’t change the starting time every couple of days because of a changing weather forecast.Scotland is notorious for its localised weather pattern because of the nature of the terrain.
  2. Thought the crowd was decent considering weather forecast and BSN.I was mug enough to want to see some live action ,unfortunately.Like I said on previous Post live streaming will end up killing the Sport. Track was dry and pretty slick to start with IMo.
  3. That’s how it always been, the Refs would be just as well packing up and going home rather than a waste of time via the Pits.
  4. Because they called the Ref to the Pits.I actually listened to Danny King and Poole Management talking to the Ref who had obviously had already decided to abandon the meeting at that point and he’s was making it quite clear they were wanting ride ( to what point we don’t know)and accused the Ref making a big mistake favouring the opposition who were the home Team.Brennan may be the Captain but he certainly under pressure from certain others.
  5. It was “ political “ .The Ref’s never make the decision of their own back.Plenty have seem tracks worse at the start of meeting with track watering alone.Poor show all round.Enough said for me,just very frustrated with the sport these days ,to many excuses for cancellations you can’t plan anything ,attending speedway will slip further down the list for me.
  6. You weren’t there then, the Tractor was on the track after the rain delay as requested by the riders. Then announced that the meeting was going to continue. There was then One heat when Starke slid of then it all kicked off again.
  7. Think they are going to book a hotel for the week for the riders in Nov and run heats each day between showers.Hope the are not many tape breaking incidents though.
  8. Possibly! At least they are refunding the Cash paying supporters who don’t want rain off tickets to their credit.
  9. You won’t get many long term die-hard supporters who think that meeting was called off purely because of track conditions. But hey -ho that’s speedway. Live streaming will eventually kill the sport regarding spectator attendance.I for one have had enough of this spot of rain and the riders are out on track calling for the Ref. I won’t make the effort to watch it live. British Weather and speedway riders not compatible nowadays.Funny they ride in every other Country in wet conditions though.
  10. I can see the BSPA voting 10 Heat matches at this rate and extending the season to December just in case the weather forecast are wrong.
  11. Jack is the worlds best novice though,in his mind anyway.
  12. Your question has been answered.Riders running the show as usual.GB speedway is in the mire.IMO.
  13. Don’t tell me you believe in weather forecasts ask Shovler about them even he gets them wrong.!
  14. What about Complin,Morley, Smith and Crang then.
  15. Let’s face it not many Glasgow fans either. It was a”Political “ decision, with different motives though.
  16. They gave the track a light watering 1/2 hour before start,it was dry as bone after Ht1.It was not heavy rain but the track was that slick the riders wanted it roughed up on the inside line. The track looked good .But there was definitely “politics “ involved in the decision from “BOTH” teams.Fans made to suffer again, certainly not encouraging for any new fans to come back. PS There wasn’t any surface water on the track.
  17. The track after grading look fine not to much dirt and they rough up the inside line,I’m afraid the riders are just getting away with too much these days. The juniors could have got round on that track tonight IMO( I know I don’t ride the bike) but I’ve seen a few speedway meetings. The decision was based on whether the meeting was going to go the full distance without giving it a fair chance to see.Basso would have probably broke the track record if he gated.
