Buy a bike ,and a Tin of Castrol R run it in the living room while watching speedway,satisfaction .

Not sure of all the reason,but obviously you could recycle the if you fitted a oil pump, more to do with cost and for the amount of oil used( very little)By draining oil you can see whether there is much metal deposits in it.Think the strain on bearings and cylinder are huge.Like you say you could have Speedway engine in a road bike with a oil pump fitted.

They a not designed to “burn” oil though.

We will never know who was asked and declined,but Iainb has a point, who have Britain produced in the last 10-15 years barring Woffy And Lambert( although they done it their way).Although Covid has caused a big headache but the youngsters have been able to keep their eye in. Young Brits like Flint and Bickley can’t seem to get into teams abroad yet when they were younger they were in all the junior events on the Continent so you would think they would have contacts.You have to Question ambition when it comes to getting to the top in any sport nowadays.This present Crop might go on to represent GB at International level in future ,but whether any go much further In World Terms is open to debate.Watching Continental Speedway shows how big a challenge the will be, while “ boot camps” are all the rage ,it will take a lot financial backing (which is not there at present) for these guys to progress. Whether we like it or not the Poles have plenty sponsorship available for their youngsters (Pressure to perform will come into it though as they are queuing up to ride over there).Brits will probably have to make their living over here though and sponsorship is a hard sell these days. We are sitting about waiting for the Polish bubble to burst,and even if it does it won’t make any difference to the sport in GB .IMO

Remember him riding with his ankle in plaster at White city Glasgow in a World Championship Qualifier in the Sixties.

Bet 365 have Lambert at 16/1 for World Champion next year .Dont think there will be any takers on that on.

To be honest they are not really good enough for Top Tier in Poland and as Cook and others have found out even In lower divisions a bad meeting and you are out.GB really only have Woffy and Lambert at that level.Belwey has had this season in Poland and has struggled.

It was originally 8/9th May in Manchester ,I had tickets.

Let’s face it Bewley is by far our bestU/21 ,look a his performances in Poland this year, the young Brits have along way to go.Kemp is certainly our best prospect IMO.

Our juniors may be promising but let’s be honest they are miles behind in World junior terms.Whether they will get opportunities in right Competitions and leagues remains to be seen.Ive seen at least a dozen young Poles who are already in a different league.The excuse that they would not do well in GB though ,doesn’t mean much in the World Speedway these days.

It was planned for the summer months originally(May) but when it got called off they wanted to hold on to our money rather than refund.Thats the only reason IMO.

I maybe in the minority here ,but while what I was watching was more of a farce than speedway,I did not see the point of not finishing the meeting as the riders were getting round the same way as they had been getting round all night slow and steady, they were not having that much difficulty due to their experience.Bewley and Lindgrens overslid,although the outcome could have been worse in Lindgrens case It could have been worse.Either that or the Meeting should not have started.It was not Speedway though,imagine if the Stadium had been full,the fans would have been well cheated again.Was there any point in running this Championship this year after calling off in Manchester.Typical Speedway Promotion IMo.

If I read the E-mail from them correctly you only have to the end of October to tell them if you want a refund.Check it out( I maybe misread it)

It would be sensible to change date,but why did their E-mail regarding postponement tell everybody it was going to be in October next year.IMO it was to hold on to as much money as possible regarding the sell out this year,hoping fans would just “ go with the flow” without the hassle of re- booking their seats.Money grabbing at its best.Still no sign of my refund from 23rd Aug e-mail to them requesting one.Very Poor.
