Think majority of fans would have liked to have seen 1 big league,using young British talent to fill all reserve places.It would have weakened the product but might have raised the standard again in future. Look at Ipswich v Wolves it was not much better than a Championship line up in both Teams. British Speedway is just giving mediocre riders a chance to maximise their earnings to the decrement of the sport in UK.IMO

Fair enough in the past ,there is only 1 Team not doubling up in the present NDL though ,will the others be viable ? Cant see it surviving in present form next year.

How many tracks will get circa 600 though.250 would be more realistic on the whole I would imagine.Certainly the Northern tracks would bite your hand off for 250 IMO.

With the points money figures in NDL being discussed elsewhere are true,there won’t be any tracks making money from NDL attendances.

Does it make any sense to continue this season if that is the case?

Track prep in UK,you must be kidding it’s been a lottery for years.Even Armadale is inconsistent in the last few seasons according to some.

It’s certainly a very fair race track,even if you only ride it a couple of times a season.Hard to believe it would present problems to a Top rider.

Wonder when Berwick Website will tell the fans of Leon’s excellent result.

They show live meetings when the are not postponed.Their problem is they don’t change their schedule on TV guide when they are postponed!

Lawson should really be doing better from reserve.IMO

Maybe that was scrapped when Peter left the scene many years ago, you should know better than anyone how Speedway rules are made up.Back Fag packet,with A4 sheet for changes when certain promotions feel like it.

Certainly strengthens them,Jack Smith doesn’t seem to be improving much.

Don’t think track covers will be used again anyway.It’s speedway there will always be conspiracy theories when weather intervenes, missing rider,ect.Bottom line it’s OFF.,early call is probably the best these days.

Think Wells is proving to be a disappointment so far.The averages change soon so things might change.

We all know you can’t beat the weather at times though.

Couldn’t find the famous track covers,which used to be all the rage.!

Maybe going to pull a”fast one” when 1st set of average changes come out.Bates retires (6.19)Procter’s av drops and bring in decent heat leader to replace Bates.Even Douglas and Howorth are have some “ ropey meetings”..Dickson is no mug.

Scunthorpe manage to suss out Ellis,but obviously with averages and especially Costs it is not easy.I couldn’t care less if there are changes or not , but it does not show the sport in good light when you have guests or R/r every week.It certainly impacts the Berwick Team as r/r for a second string rider doesn’t suit a strength in depth Team IMO.
