They certainly aren’t ahead of the game.Nothing new there though.Like has been pointed out elsewhere riders and contracts should be all signed up by December.Tell them to make up there mind where they are committed too,adjust GB speedway to suit with what’s left , after all the Poles seem to manage it.We are always going to play second fiddle to them nowadays. ,

Agree regarding Lambert,just took the p*SS at times with Kings Lynn ,self interest was his main priority .

There are just not the international meetings between countries these days that there was in the 70/80’s.Can’t see that changing anytime soon.Most riders just want to ride in Poland these days for the money and you can’t really blame them, considering the state of the sport in GB.Think you will find that if any of the youngsters coming through show some real talent at BL league level,they will be off abroad as soon as they can get a slot.Loyalty and Money don’t go together in Speedway.

Maybe just me, but REALLY, what difference will putting the meeting back a WEEK make.They used to be indecisive,now they are not so sure.!!

Have to agree, we need to build again in GB.We certainly can’t compete with Poland regarding money and sponsors.We need to cut our cloth accordingly.IMO.We certainly won’t lose any fans,and we might attract some new ones if we get the entertainment factor right, without the “ Mickey Mouse “ rules.

It’s his prerogative surely ,nothing to do with anything else.

Think they have done a good job covering Youth Championship and Amateur scene this year. What do you see as a new reader direction.? Will it dramatically increase sales of magazine given the sport doesn’t seem to attracting new youngsters whose family is not attending or already involved in the sport,they probably get the magazine anyway.

agree,some very good articles.They have done well to keep going in difficult circumstances.

It does sound a bit strange, he fails to give any information why this harassment came about.He obviously has upset someone at one time ,whatever for we are not being told,he certainly gets to give his side without divulging any reason for the harassment.

Think his ride at Glasgow after he had fallen and done his shoulder again was the ride of the season for him,certainly won them the victory overall.

Interesting ,Ihave just finished reading the latest book Saving Speedway( an excellent read ).Reg Fearman in the Postscript highlighted the fact that at the end of 1964 when the Provincial League had broke away and got blacklisted,the Promoters got together again in December to discuss the way forward.There was only 6 Teams left in the big League(National League) and there was 12 Teams in the Provincial League which was starting to thrive.The result was leagues merged to form the British League of 18 Teams.History repeats itself today with only 7 Teams in Premier and 12 in Championship. Another amalgamation! Maybe ,(Fearmans words). IMO we could do worse.!!
