Excellent GP ,Freddie deserved that win.Madsen still up there with the best,he certainly can get the bike to drive while riding the inside line of the bends.
There can still be a significant delay when there is a crash where riders need treatment.I sure you have witnessed some even with double medical cover. Here is hoping it runs smoothly.
Trouble is couple of crashes and you probably won’t see 30 heats of speedway ,unless they get permission either to start early or extend deadline.Admission price will be interesting.
Bigger than normal I would say.1/2 a normal previous seasons worth of fixtures and we still struggle to complete before deadline, what a shambles the sport has become.
But there is obviously nothing in the rules and regulations that’s says that. The only time I have seen red flags from infield is after racing has started ,which I can understand. In this case the racing had not commenced.
Personally I don’t see what all the fuss is about ,marshals with red flags have being doing there job efficiently for year at most tracks. This event has more do with the build up to the meeting and riders getting themselves all wound up.Its history now though.
The track Marshall’s at Berwick at at other tracks I have visited, stand on the track with a piece of rope connected to the fence guiding the riders off the track into the pits after the parade, so there is obviously no rule regarding Marshal’s being on the track whilst bikes are. That happens every week at Berwick.
